Maple Grove D1 points meet

Wow

155 stockers.......... what a turn-out!
You know what that means.......... 27 racers don't qualify!
It is only a 128 car field!
that would suck..........

Also 109 super stockers and 42 comp cars.
I have never seen 306 class cars at a divisional in a very long time.

.636 under and "GO HOME"

SIDEOILER 05-27-2007 01:38 PM

That's a pretty GOOD turnout, at Tulsa they had a very poor turnout of less than 20 cars and thats a national event !

mannymen 05-27-2007 05:06 PM

I'll take 20 for $10K instead of 128 for about $3000 any day of the week.

Good track , good location, and back to back open race [thur.]and D1 points race[fri, sat&sun] on a holiday weekend explains the big car count . Any other div. run back to back races?

Joe Santangelo 05-28-2007 05:20 PM

109 cars @ $175 car/driver,
---1/4 final (5th round) loser........=$200

...semi-finalists got $250

stk1424 05-28-2007 05:50 PM

thats why peter went to atco and picked up 5 grand...semi's $250?? ...it's ok to make a profit but sharing the wealth would be nice NHRA

The NHRA took in $44,880, between Stock and Superstock($170 each entry). How much was the total payout? In the past winner got $2000, runner-up was $1000, then $250, $125, and $75 round money after 2nd round. Has anyone calculated the Maple Grove payouts? $250 for runner-up AIN'T SQUAT!

Great time at the Grove, back to back racers were fun, felt like a touring pro. Lost one, had no time to worry, another race another day. It was nice to be back in the saddle. Joe Zoom, great job, Must have been that zen thing.

Hey Joe, great looking car. What's going to be your next race? If I'm ever in NY and need bail money can I call you?

JDEMARZO 05-29-2007 09:43 AM

Fast Johnnie, thanks car is great, Kenny Kounce did a great job painting and preparing me to be race ready. Man that was fun...... Not only will I provide bail money I will buy coffee at Cafe Piccalo, Angelo's favorite place. Going to Island than Atco. Be careful with all that HP you do not get yourself hit. See you soon

Joe

I am going to try and make a Yankee game before the stadium is torn down. That place holds almost every historic moment in baseball.

JDEMARZO 05-30-2007 06:26 AM

Johnnie, the yankees have handgun day coming up, try and go to that. By the way the 7th inning stretch is a mother. I know some dudes at the 43rd precient so call when you get pinched.

Joe
