Yes, Artie. The car was/is owned by Ted Struse, who now lives in Colorado, if I'm not mistaken. It was campained by Mike Smith and Terry Walsh.

BTW ,my first big NHRA win came against this car - Englishtown Winston World Championship Series race in 1974 .Wouldn't you know it -- its' the one picture I don't have .....................

I remember following the build and racing of this 69 RR in
S/S magazine when I was in the service and the few years
after that they still did articles on the car.

In those days a bar wasn't even allowed. We fought a bar and won,(because we had the convertible) but still couldn't have the solid bar going forward. The swing out bar was a necessity not an option.

I was fortunate to get to know one of the previous (and original) owners, Ted Struse. He had this car in Colorado for many years. Ted asked me to drive it @ Bandimere speedway many years ago and considering the history of the car this was an honor. Ted is a real class act and last I heard he is still in the Denver area. Sadly Ted is fighting Parkinson's disease. Please keep Ted in your thoughts and prayers. He is a dedicated Mopar Stock Eliminator enthuisast and a great writer. He writes for many magazines. He even got me on the cover of the December 1986 SuperStock & Drag illustrated magazine.
Great car with tons of history, it should bring big bucks$$$.

By the time you take the 10% commission front and back, what did the owner really get? Owner should have put it on e-bay or Racing Junk and save having to haul it to Arizona. BJ is a suckers game. JMO.
