Stock class quotas

Looked at entries at all the races where stock class will be.First thing, geez what a surprise, our billionaire owner of Z Maxx gets the most entries (second of course to Indy)
with 626 at each race.Stock entries are 100 each race. All sportsman classes run, including the three super classes AND T/D-T/S.Anbd guess what Las Vegas gets 120
cars.
Sonoma,Denver,Dallas and Reading get all of 80 spots.Reading gets all three super classes also.Dallas, enver and Sonoma get T/S.
Get the feeling we're being nudged out slowly but surely?
What do the defenders of Glendoras boobs have to say about the latest "enhancement".
Line up and give it your best shot.

Re: Stock class quotas

Global Warming has caused them to reduce entries. Some stocker guys spew a lot of hot air and it's accelerating the melting of the polar ice .....

Only 60 Stock and 60 Super Stock at Norwalk. You are correct.

But a World Champ driver like Drooze has can enter whenever they want?

What happens if 30 past World Champs decide to run Stock or Super Stock?

Is the quota then 90 or does it drop to 30?

Re: Stock class quotas

Correct from my understanding with the NHRA Competition office, (Mary)....My understanding is noone get "bumped" they used to allow you to show up , but changed that to a week(?) prior. She asked us to register then, but that seemed odd, because maybe they dont count, right now I think the count is at 85 for Pomona...so......I dono.....How can you have 85 when quota is 80 unless champs and gold cards dont count, unless theyve factored in a no show percentage (that would be suprising)

I said, very specifically we had a "Past World Champion Driver" For the first part of the season.....By then I hope at Divs that dont conflict to have my grade points up to where it wont be an issue, but even then Im not planning on any Nationals for myself, maybe, just maybe 1 or 2 late in the year........

Hell all I gotta do is tech 6 times :)

I gotta call the damm NHRA today and figure out if my crossover, or whatever its called is in for Short cars, and if its in the puter, even though I havent got my paperwork, right now I cant even run under 125wb....something that dawned on me last week when I came across the papers and slips in my drawer....ooooppppssssss....anyone know how long that ususally takes on a "crossover" or ... the damm right word escapes me, 3 hours degreeing my damm cam......arrrrrr......(well 30 was spent looking for the paperwork and card)

LSM does some nice work......

Cheers.....

Seems as though NHRA has jumped right into the rack w/Bruton. He seems to get whatever he wants wherever he goes. I swear, he may end up a major player, (maybe even OWNER) of NHRA before long. You know, tractor-pulling is not really a bad sport.....:D WJ

Jack,Indy is the only one they haven't dropped quotas on.Still 180/180.Still a tough field to make.Looks like about .720 to get in now.
Grade points aside, looks like the true backbone of the sport is getting it in the shorts from a bunch so out of touch with it's customers.Looks like the future is going to be fast heads up and pro classes.

Re: Stock class quotas

Indy on my sheet reads 180 in stock and 180 superstock

Re: Stock class quotas

Aren't a lot of the quotas based on pit parking availability? The "super tracks" are set up so much nicer than others, such as Sonoma.

Re: Stock class quotas

Maple Grove has always had a higher quota for S/SS cars when they ran class. Why all of a sudden are we at 80?I guess a call to the Div 1 office will be an exercise in futility but I'll try on Monday.

Sorry ......

Cant help you.....

:D:D:D

But really I dont want to deny anyone, because that limits the choices to who it is, simple math throw all the name at me, but I say no, no, no , process of elimination.........BUT I dont want it being thought, or having someone else think that Im throwing their name around who I dont know, thats not good, at all....so to that end.....since it was your guess Ill tell you.

Its not him........that I can promise.
