Was Al Corda running a LS-1 Pontiac stocker ('98-'02 car) in the past few years? Yellow car maybe? Is someone still campaigning that car? Much thanks. WJ

In '09 Corda ran the Pomona,Phoenix & Houston nmational events. Plus a divisional at Houston, and then apparently quit for the year.

He was at Indy also in 09 in the Corvette he had the first pit space next to the staging lanes

Last time I saw the car was at INDY 09 with the new owners.

At the beginning of last year he was driving his orange Firebird, I think he ran it out west and know for sure he had it at the Spring Nats. I know he had the Corvette at Joliet and Indy.

I believe the yellow Firebird is the one that David Latino now shoes.

Phil Hollingsworth owns it now. The car is currently being driven by David Latino.

Thanks....are you folks still running a LS1 pkg, stick or auto, and what class/classes are you running? Having owned and competed w/ a couple, ('99 stick and '02 auto) I'm real partial to these cars....Best wishes to Phil, You, and David for a safe and successful 2010 race season w/this car. WJ

That car originally belonged to Fred Simmons....head of GM Racing. The last time I saw the car it still had Fred's GM parking sticker in the windshield.

My understanding is that he has two Max Wedge cars in the garage, the wagon being one.
