Re: moron needs gm steel gasket #ends in 633
These are probably not the gaskets you are looking for if they fit the 302 with a standard bore size of 4.00. The number you need is 3995633 which is for the 283/327. I would ask the seller for a part # before you bid.

Dear Moron, I happen to have 8 new 3995633 gaskets still in the GM package. Give me a call at 419-706-5055 if you need them.

Re: moron needs gm steel gasket #ends in 633
With these #633 gaskets gone, is there a low-cost alternative for the small-bore engines ANYWHERE?? .018 thickness is o.k....but .020, or .022 would do too.....

Re: moron needs gm steel gasket #ends in 633
Not sure on that bore size.....anything smaller?

Re: moron needs gm steel gasket #ends in 633
Get a hold of Brad Zaskowski. I think Bill said he had some of those from earlier years of running the 283 in SS

Re: moron needs gm steel gasket #ends in 633
I was wondering if the racers in the "small-bore" community had used anything other than the GM #633, and the Cometic? I guess you could use the GM #711...but I think it's a bit thicker, and I don't think it fits the smaller engines as good as the 633...Not sure if you can get the 711 anymore? We're talking for early engines...the 265-283, and the 307. Maybe you could use a 305 head gasket? I think GM used steel shim on the very early 305's...and switched to composition? Any 305 "experts" know what those measure in thickness?

Re: moron needs gm steel gasket #ends in 633
I have used the 262/305 head gasket many times with my combination. It was old G.M. part # 14085906 & older part # 362690 and was also made by McCord. They were .016 thick & cross to currently still available # 10105115. The first two are steel shim while the third one has a coating on it & measures .025 thick so not a straight cross. As far as size I believe they are 3.910 compressed diameter but I will measure an old one and post that number later.
