That's what they did to SS at INDY a few years ago after a week rainout.

Why wouldn't they finish the event tomorrow (Monday)?? East coast racers have to spend almost another full week on the left side? Please explain reason for waiting until next Friday.....Thanks. WJ

Because they have a points meet there next weekend.

I believe the reasoning is that it won't change most people's schedule. Most people were planning on being here next Friday anyway. Also, it's supposed to rain tomorrow. So if they ran it on Monday most likely they would have to finish it on Tuesday.

I remember Indy in 79 We finished it on Thursday With a total of 2 spectators in the stands

If you want to race, crash, die or kill people in the rain, then I guess you would be pissed. :mad:

But it's Monday morning and still wet on my streets in north Phoenix.
Weather forecast shows sunny Tuesday, overcast Wednesday / Thurs / Fri and rain on Saturday.

We've had more rain here in Jan-Feb than we usually get in almost 1.5 years!

Monday 7:50 am -- Raining very hard at the Phoenix airport -- no way would we have raced this morning .................and it has been raining for the last few hours so everything is soaked .
