Thanks Mopar

Thanks Mopar. For supporting Stock and Superstock Racers with class win contingency.
And you don't need a Drag Pack car to be eligible for them. Oil Filters, Batteries, Valve covers, Engine assembly. ETC.
Maybe some of the D P bashing is envy that GM and Ford aren't paying anything.

Oh yes....

Contingency programs are good. Especially if you can do some winning to qualify for them..

For us they remain a temporily elusive goal. And we might not get records like you do Art, but at least it is nice to know they are there for when we get there.

So far, Ma Mopar has been good for us..

I agree! Over the years I have received my share of MoPar money also. Thanks to Mother MoPar and of course junior barns! Jim

Oh yeah, I wanted to add, sometimes they were the *only* ones who *did* pay.

Art was that in the ND? I didn't see it on the site. Out of interest, what are they paying for class? Granted the dakota can only dream of winning class....but its nice to know that they are paying for class......

Postman delivered 3/26 issue today, see a bunch of class postings....upwards of 500 for class for a mopar, more with hoosier, AT-1 etc.

Thanks

Eric

Yes they pay for class wins. I just made out 2 class win contingency sheets. They pay for about 6 different items. Some of them wouldn't be used on a stocker. But battery, oil filter, valve covers, engine assembly are all available for stock and superstock.
I went and bought a Mopar battery just before leaving for Belle Rose and with the 2 class wins. It's paid for.

Don't have a Mopar, however I see no down side to the Factory involvement. And yes CBS is right Ford does pay even for the old non Cobra Jet models. Joe

Question that should be asked by the Ford and GM buys - do the contingency rules from Mopar state that a Mopar oil filter (obviously must fit) and Mopar Battery must be installed in a Mopar Vehicle? Ya'll may be able to run them too.

In the NHRA Sponsor Requirements, they state that their parts must be used on a Mopar vehicle or engine.

Wish they would come back to IHRA! :(

I like the way Tim thinks...

Kind of like when W.C. Fields (who was widely known to be an atheist - but this is part of the story and not meant to diminish Tim's Mopar convictions in any way) was on his death bed, he was seen reading a Bible... When asked what he was doing... His response was simple: "Looking for Loopholes, just looking for loopholes"

I believe in the rules, but am always looking for loopholes...in the rulebook. But as a born again Christian, I never look for them in the Bible...

Re: Thanks Mopar

They still pay me for class for engine.I could use a Mopar filter but I use K&N which pays.
It says there must be a W-9 form on record. What's that?
Also Weld wheels doesn't specify what wheels you have to have, only that you must have all four Welds on the car. When I won in 2006 they stiffed me,saying they were only paying for the Star wheels only.Is that still the case?I have the older wheels with ths small round holes.
This is all getting very confusing.
