Re: "Live from Folsomdale, KY" March 28th, 1970
Congratulations to two really great people. My wife Tammy and I are approaching 23 years. As my friend Kevin is so fond of saying, they are saints to put up with us. I'm sure Larry will agree. Hope to see you at the Bowling Green combo, Tammy and I will have made it to 23 by then, I hope we do as well as you two have.

Re: "Live from Folsomdale, KY" March 28th, 1970
Thanks for all the congrats! We have really had a great time for most of those 40 years. I think the most important thing is we like doing things together. And of course, racing is a big part of that. But I am probably a little unusual in that I really like going racing. I remember a few years back when Larry got mad at NHRA for all the HP he kept getting on the little red truck everytime he went out. (Then they did whatever they wanted, no AHFS. You would just get a certified letter saying you had more HP on Monday morning.) He decided not to race for about a year, and I said "Hey, you are taking away my entertainment, too." So anyway, we go and have a good time now and just fuss about the Fords and DPs.
Oh, a little more news from Folsomdale, KY. Our good friend and neighbor and fellow Mopar racer, Jerry Bennett--D/SA is home from the hospital doing fine after a little surgery. He should be back out and good as new in a couple of months. Well, again , thanks for the congratulations. Hopefully we will see ya'll back at the track after Larry gets a new engine built. The one he blew up in Belle Rose is almost total junk! Patsy |
