HA. 352 CI 11.25 CR 1000 cfm throttle body. single plane super stock intake .575 valve lift. roller shaft rocker. solid roller lifters. ford motor sports aluminum heads. now the funny stuff. NHRA rated 285 HP. runs e through h.

Now all they have to do is create a minimum horsepower rule for Stock and Super Stock. Let's say 225 or 235 Horsepower, oh what the heck lets just make it 300 Horsepower after the new cars take a few hits. That should do it.

All these crate motors are bogus. The question is, what are we going to do about it? Do we continue to support a sanctioning body that has basically stabbed us in the bank or do we do something else. Why not let them run National events for the rest of the year with just Challengers and Mustangs and see how they like it? If racers continue to do what we have always done there is no incentive for them to make this right.

The engine in question is a 302 based motor (like a 347sbf) its just 352 cubic inches.

That is exactly what I meant. Heck, if they can buy the class guides, they might as well elminate those pesky little cars that could potentially embarrass their science rockets. nhra would go for that if one of the OEMs asked for it. These guys certainly have their hands in the cookie jar. |

Charley I can't believe you would say something so stupid. There is no argument from anyone who is telling the truth that all these new crate motors are way under rated. You are either ignorant or trying to convince yourself that taking advantage of your fellow racers is okay. Oh by the way did Bob give you the money to finish your mustang yet.

Greg why do you and Spoon think I have no money? Yes I do work part time for my father on the farm and do to the lack of jobs in Michigan I’m currently working full time for less money so I can still help out at home. But how would both of you know how much I have or haven't spent? Greg before you start to throw stones about someone spending money on there children’s race car you should look in the mirror at how much you spent on your own sons car. I really fail to see how anyone’s personal finance’s is anyone’s business. If a parent wants to spend money on their children then who has the right to stop them?
Greg how am I taking advantage of fellow racers? Do you think I put these motors in the books? Do I make the rules? I’am just playing within the rules NHRA has in place. |
