Best D-1 track for food

Lets here everyones favorite culinary delights at tracks in D-1.

Here are mine:

Epping: the $5 special with Burger and fries....not always available, icecream sandwiches are good to get you through the staging lane waits
MIR: the brownie sundae is outstanding
Skyview: Excellent cheeseburgers
Richmond: I was too busy to eat
Lebanon Valley: Didn't eat
Atco: The Chili both days last week was amazing. I want more now!

Oxford Dragway - small track, good chili, bad time to share an RV.

It dosent apply anymore but the BAR-B-Q sandwich that Bill Wilcomes (track owner) mom used to make at 75 & 80 Dragway in Mayland was great and priced cheap. Ahhhhhh....the good ole days.
The french fries at the Colonial Beach race track in Va. are pretty darn good also.

I like the fries at Lebanon Valley-other than those, Al Ackerman has the best food in D1.

I'll take Gary Parker's BBQ any day of the week & weekends.

He'll give Uncle Buck a run for his money.

Plus when we have "The Captain" in town with us look out.

The bar-b-que had to be better than his hot dogs. I used to put them under the tires of my car to keep it from drifting backwards in the staging lanes. On the other hand, Bill made mention he sold FOUR THOUSAND hot dogs one night at one of his Friday night street races!

I was more interested in the scenery myself. Damn kids know how to put on a 'show'.....

Any track that the George Donhauser crew with Uncle Buck at the helm of the grill has the best food hands down period!! If you go away from that cookout and your still hungrey, its your own fault. No wonder MASGA has such a great turnout! Just kidding Lucky, your doing a awesome job!! :D

I would have to 2nd Numidia. The birch beer is good, but the new menu is great. It takes about 2 people to eat the cheese steak hoagies. They also added a Hot and Sweet Italian sausage hoagie to the menu, which I thought was great when I had one on sunday.

I would also have to give my vote to Lebanon Valley for their hand-cut french fries....very good, quite possibly the best fries in D-1.... Then there's the cooked-on-site pig roast that's been put on by Ted Leahy and a few of the Central Mass Drag Race Club members near season's end up at Epping, NH for the past few years.....awesome. Numedia by a mile ! ! !
When that church group used to cook breakfast and then at 10:00 AM break out the homemade pie and ice cream. The view from anywhere at the track over the entire country side. Now that's racing !

All your favorates soung great. I landed @ Atco a few years ago and met quite a few locals there and they insisted I try a Panzerotti and let me tell you, being from Indiana I thought that was awseome to say the least . I have them everytime I go there.

75-80 Chili Dogs are legendary!! You can't go there without eating at least two!! Beaver Springs has very good ice cream and their burgers aren't bad either.:D

Re: Best D-1 track for food

Well of course anytime Uncle Buck is at a racetrack the food he cooks is amazing but, if were talking about a track I can't believe nobody mentioned Numidia's Homemade Water Ice....It's too die for. I look forward to the MASGA race every year to that track just to have some water ice.
I really do miss the days that Maple Grove used to have that Breakfast combo deal in the morning with hashbrowns, eggs, bacon and whatever else they could fit in the container. So since were talking about best tracks to eat how about "Best D-1 Track Rest. to eat at"

Hands Down I'd have to go with Claire's in Morgantown (Sorry Just can't do the Buffet's up there)

the track: Winterport, Maine. Fresh Maine seafood!

at the track: Dean Cook puts on a feed second to none

around the track: I'm with Greg B., Maple Grove has the Amish buffet nearby and New Holland has "The Pub".
