Anyone going to Indy?

Is anyone going to Indy for sure or do you think the race will be postponed?

I was going to go, but I can't find my umbrella and enough towels to wipe everything down after it pours. I will take a pass on this one.

I'm there now and the weather was great today (73-75%) this afternoon. The weekend may be another story. The DA was 1817 at 3pm. Not a whole lot of cars yet and first NHRA divisional ever, so we'll see how it goes. The tech guys were nice and helpful and I expected worse from what everyone usually posts on this site.. I'll be running a very slow SS/CA Camaro (3112)

Drooze, Mandie and I are here.... Drag Pak #24 aka Mega Maniac, survived the test and tune today, and we will just wait and see what happens tommorrow....We took it nice and easy today on our new 5.7 engine as we were already running under the index (for E/SA) without a good tune and we will fix that for tomorrow..

Doug Duel, Randy Warfield, Irv Johns all had their Drag Paks here, and there looked like there were four Cobra Jets too..

Mandie does a great job helping out and doesn't look a bit bad doing it...

I will also second mannymen on the Tech crew... Very helpful and informative....Excellent Crew across the board at Division 3...

We are not going to take the chance. A friend, who lives in Speedway, called me last night and said the local weather forcasters are calling for a deluge on Friday and Saturday. Just had some customers order some pumps and I need to use the time wisely, which does not include sitting in the trailer watching it rain.

Congrats on the survival. Don't let Drooze get carried away in the water box and all should be fine.:D Good luck tomorrow and let us know what she ran.

Mike is correct I am about 90 miles SE, currently raining and with intermittent exceptions the forecast does not look like it will be a real struggle to get this in. The forecast is not good.

The sprinkles have started. They got in one TT of Stock, S/ST and S/G. some of S/C and Super stock was called to the lanes and lo and behold.

DA was 1300 ish at least by my probably incorrect calculation. As of 11:41am it's starting to come down steady

Water box, we don't need no stinkin water box, we got pits full of water and 1320 ft of water so we don't need no stinkin water box....

I was the one who blew the engine coming out of the water box last time, but I was vindicated once we got the engine apart and discovered stretched and broken rod bolts... No wonder our oill pressure continued to drop since the rod caps were getting farther and farther apart.... and I am the one set to run today, IF IT STOPS RAINING.....

We went to lunch and discovered that it takes about an hour to order at Applebees here, and when we came out , it was a drizzle, so we beat feet back to the track and it got worse again....

Rain Rain Go Away Come Again Some Other Day...

Come on folks, let's repeat this over and over all together, and maybe we can get this dried up......Or maybe not... But it beatrs sitting and waiting for the weather to change..
