Hello eveybody, I have taken the 4 hour flight and driven 2 hours to be here in Norwalk Ohio to post some type of perspective of this event. I have most of the Stock 2nd rounf of qualifying on film and will post tonight or sooner. I need full privledges from the admins. WEATHER: GOOD ENOUGH! more details later. We had a slight problem in our race car so we didn't make the round. The pits on our side "stock" seem quite empty. The other side must have it's share. I will change my batteries and consume a canadian beer...Don't know what other kind there is...ans I will come back with more info. Good Luck to all those who are here and can have fun this weekend. We've been sitting around for over an hour now while they deal with the water coming up through the track. The weather is beautiful and very breezy, but the ton of water that came down in the past few days - including during this past night - is still causing trouble. Hopefully, we can get back to racing soon.

Looking at the times posted on DRC in SS conditions can't be that bad. Layer knocked one out of the ballpark 1.18 under !!!!!!!

Mexican ? Were up....were in the gate lanes now HOPING to get in and teched tonight..... Waiting for the "Old Man" he drove sepreate and how with a car that will go 170 miles an hour hes 30 minutes behind me pulling a trailer Ill never know.....

I asked Mandie if she was in the mood for mexican, her answer was "Have I ever not been in the mood for mexican ?"

Ok...don't come to this place. The service is horrible now and the food is less than good...my fault! It was the best but now it's the worst...Period! Managed to teach a server to count to three...idiots!

I passed that place a couple of times as I always get lost going to Norwalk even though it is only an hour and a half away. And it seems like there has been detour on route 18 forever so I keep trying to go other ways...Maybe I should just take the detour.

But it looked like a nice enough venue... Glad I was in too big a hurry to stop and eat there.

It's another nice day here in Norwalk Raceway! The rack seems to be okay, there is no water coming through the track and the wind is mild.

I have to take a pic of the qualifying sheets after I post here. We pushed a push rod through the #7 intake rocker arm at @ 400ft down the track. I will start to upload mre video right now while we have the generator running.

I've never seen so many people at a drag race! I was at the Winternationals this year and that was half as crowded! The number of people here I would guess to be 40,000 and when we left today at 6pm there was a line of cars to get in over a mile long just on the 601 alone! This is a testament to Bill Bader and the service he offers as a great track owner, on a side note I've never seen so many desperate chics, to bad it was to go to the bathroom..hehe.. I'm back at the hotel and will upload pics first then videos one at a time. Wish I was racing to...

Summit Racing gave away an awful lot of tickets, and I saw a lot of folks coming in with those free tickets in hand. Good for Summit Racing. They know who to make it good for the cars and the people. More people equals more cars, and a better show.

It is a circle that some folks just don't get, but more people draws more people. And that is what we all talk about, how to fill more seats, so that the whole experience, for spectators and racers is better.

Once again congrats to Summit Racing for making this a great event.

It was great to see folks streaming in, not great to get out and caught in the traffic jams around the park, but hey, it was all good. A good race, and great group of spectators. We had metric ton of folks stop by, take pictures, and had about a dozen kids sitting (one or two at a time) in the Drag Pak. We even signed autographs for some of the kids. Way Cool!

But those kids are the racers of tomorrow. Drag racing will never be like it was back in the day. Bu that doesn't mean we should stop trying to make a good experience for the fans. Drooze, still talks about experiences he had growing up, like hangin with Smokey Yunnick in the pits at the Brickyard, etc. We may not be the Big names. But I can tell you those kids will look at those pictures the parents and Grand parents took, and remember that car. And they will remember that Racing is fun. Even if you are a 10 year old spectator.

We won a double breakout race in the third round against Steve McFarland by .002! My father watch steve all the way done and drifted way over to the cement wall. Their dials we're 10.70 & 10.72. Neat race to watch!

I caught a cold this weekend as well as being hit by a golf kart on the spree today by an old guy talking to someone and looking the other way..I dumped it an kissed the ground. He and I both agreed it was his fault, I'm so sick of getting blamed for stuff It made me happy to hear them say "sorry, that was my fault".

I will upload everything over the night tonight in Cali. My connection is great there. Good Luck to the rest of the racers.

Zaskowski won a heads up and failed fuel check. That is a bummer! The guy he beat had another heads up and lost that one in the next round. I HAVE both heads up races on video.Those will post tonight.

I made it back to Cali as well as this cold I got from the midwest...yuck! I will be back at my place to finish uploading all video and pic in about two hours. Thank God for the cuties I got to sit next to and BS. all the way here, now it's time for relaxing.

Ok, still uploading, 70 video's and 56 Pics so far. The internet connection gets pissed at me every so often and I had to reboot the connection but it's working. Keep checking every hour or so for new pics and or video...I am sick as a dog and called into work for the first time this year. So I will be waking up periodically to check the connection and status of these uploads. Again here is the link for most of them.

51 images and 134 videos now uploaded. I have been asked by a few for their race in higher quality and it seems like the email ervices has a lot to do withthe size that can be mailed. So those who asked, I will upload those one on youtube becaus they do not lower the quality.
