Racing was H-O-T at Richmond Dragway this weekend!! Here are some photo's from the staging lanes and starting line during Saturday's qualification sessions and the first round of STK eliminations. I've had to re-size them, so if anyone want's the large format (suitable for framing :)) let me know. Enjoy!

Sorry i failed to meet you Lew. It may have been because i was at the back of the lanes both days .Maybe next time. Thanks to all the stock and superstock cars and drivers for their cooperation in the back of the lanes. That makes my job so much easier.

Danny,

I'm sorry that I didn't get to meet you over the weekend. I had at least a million questions to ask you about your old wagon, but as this was the first time I had been to Richmond in over a decade, I wound up on the wrong side of the fence by mistake. I promise I'll stop by and introduce myself the next time! Be safe!

Mike,

Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Your car is very nice!!

I'm finishing up my '66 Bel Air wagon, which now sits on my driveway patiently awaiting the installation of all the parts I still need to install :o.

One of these days!!!!!!!

I hope to see you at the track again soon. Be safe!!

(2) Any year that they have engine specs for and in the old class guides that fits in the wt breaks they now run (like NHRAs class breaks now). IHRA used to have a 49 (or 50) Olds running Z/SA when the class breaks went down to 25 lbs per. It was a nice red Olds called "The Old Crutch". Want to run a 59 Chevy Convert. with FI like Mark Ys. old ride? Maybe a 55-57 Chebbie? 57 FI Vette like John Diannas and Marv Ripes killer piece from 1971 era?
