Photos from Englishtown Supernationals

I've added tons of photo-coverage from Englishtown, and still haven't even scratched the surface. All classes, from the Pros to Stock Eliminator, and I try to give more coverage to the Sportsman classes that normally don't receive it. I have some photos of Ken in the Cobra Jet (BTW great job on winning a tough field) but haven't gotten that far yet; should be in the next update. There's also still photo and video coverage from the Atco LODRS too. See it at www.dragtimenews.com; hope you like it...

Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals
Thanks for liking the shots! Stephanie and I coordinate so she's at the starting line for lift-off, and I'm at the finish line for womping and dumping. I have a burst sequence of Ken Miele at the top end that I'll hope to have up in the next update.
There were a couple of rag-tops at Etown, all of which looked like they were going to pop at the top end. It's pretty cool to see. Kindly, Bob |
Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals
Bob, all i can say is WOW.
That was some Great shots of the Super Stockers..... Hopefully you'll get a shot of my car 1 day. Keep up the good work. Pistol Pete 1374 I/SA |
Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals
Thank you, Pete; I'm glad you like the photo-work. Actually, a lot of the credit has to go to my other shooter Stephanie. She's getting good at being .010 or better on the shutter! I like being at the top-end to capture the fun and games in burst mode.
Class racing is some of the most exciting racing there is; we're just trying to convey that excitement with the photos on the site. Kindly, Bob |
Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals

Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals
Thanks Anthony, I appreciate it. That means a lot.
I tell people who like going to car shows to go to the drag strip and watch a Divisional or National. Stock and Super Stock is the ultimate car show in the pits, and then you get to watch them blast off down the track. There's nothing better. Kindly, Bob |
Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals
Great photos... thanks alot...

Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals
Come to think of it, your 100% right when you tell people to go to a Divisional or National & see all the Great looking S/ SS cars there are.
Yes, there are some awesome looking Comp. cars too, but they don't really wheelstand & shouldn't. Then the ultimate happens: You watch the Wheelstanding Super Stocks, & some stockers as well battle it out. Your top end pictures were fabulous. Thx |
Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals
Hi all,
I've published two more pages of photos from Saturday, June 12th at the NHRA Supernationals at Englishtown. Working my way through Sunday's photos now... Bob |

I've added photo coverage from Sunday's final eliminations at the NHRA Supernationals at Englishtown. All classes, but heavier coverage on Sportsman including some top-end burst sequences in Stock and Super Stock. Other news items added, too. I hope you like it.

Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals
These pictures just keep getting better & better....
The top end frame by frame is just killer Bob..... Are you going to do the Englishtown points race in Sept. ??? that would be cool.... Pistol Pete 1374 I/SA |
Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals
Hi Pete,
Thank you very much for liking the coverage. We put a lot of work into it, so it's nice to know. Burst sequences are cool; you can see in stop-action the exact moment someone throws it into R. I almost like it better than video. I might be at Englishtown for the LODRS, but it depends on 1) my own finances at the time (many of you are aware of my situation), and 2) if I'll be racing that weekend myself, which is dependant on what's scheduled and also on Item #1. Kindly, Bob |
Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals
Bob,,,, Thanks for the great shots and your hard work,,,especially the different locations and perspectives you use. For guys like me who've never been to Englishtown, its a great all-around look at the facility. It was a good time settling down with a cold one and going through all the pages and reading your captions. I hope we'll see more of this in the future.
Thanks again,,,,,,Danny Durham |
Re: Photos from Englishtown Supernationals
Danny,
Thanks for your comment; I really appreciate it. If you ever find yourself on the East coast in the general vicinity of Englishtown, there are plenty of places where one could rent... I mean borrow...a vehicle to take to the local dragstrip. Just to, you know, visit! Kindly, Bob |
