The Little Gremlin That Could
Will our own Ed Fernandez be the first to drive a Gremlin to a National Event win? He clearly is on a roll at Norwalk! I for one say you go boy! Put that AMC in the winner's circle! Jim

One of my highpoints of the week was to Ed nick a CJ.....and with all the crap the announcer, about a Gremlin 6 against a CJ and if he sees that one more time.....BLAH... I was behind the line and shouted YES and scared the crap outta the people next to me. Ed is a GREAT Guy and I was really glad to be able to meet him in person. |
Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
Go Ed!

Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
You can do it, Ed! Win one for the guys at the other end of the alphabet!

Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
Ed and the Gremlin know the way to the winners circle, he just needs to keep his head on straight. ,[ sometimes a very hard thing to do for Ed!] ....GOOD LUCK Ed ,and don't overthink the dial in !!...................Tom

Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
Eddie's army is still pulling for Fast Eddie. F.Eddie is very capable and it would create a buzz beating up on all those fast cars. Go Fast Eddie go. I still have not seem a picture of Fast Eddie and Drooze together yet. I have seen Perrone, Mandie and Drooze, not Eddie, I have seen Fast Eddie and others no Drooze, please prove me wrong the they are not the same person. lol

Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
Never got the chance to meet Ed or eye the Gremlin. I have only got to see pictures of the car and I like it! Ed has to be a unique guy to stray from the well beaten path of stocker combinations and compete with an AMC inline 6. I wish Ed and the Gremlin the best of luck! Thank goodness for guys like Ed that keeps the obscure, unique, and "odd-ball" class cars in competition for class racing nuts like me to enjoy! Don Jackson

Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
I'm back home.Got here at 8PM with my tail between my legs.I appreciate all the well wishes but I really wasn't that thrilled with my performance.First let me say that the car has been killer this year.It usually runs what I put on the window. The nut behind the wheel is the problem, specifically on the starting line.I'm going to work on that and hopefully get
the whole act together.I've never been to Norwalk, and it is very impressive. Met a lot of nice people this week.Among them Larry and Patsy,Chris,David and Mandy and Chris's excellent choice of a driver,Keith Lynch.Saw Joe Martens,Jorge Carnero, Jimmy Ronzello, the Downing crew,Rock Haas among too many to list.Nice meeting everyone. I had a great time, and made a few bucks at two Nat's in a row. Last but not least I got to run against a racing legend,Ben Wentzel.I wish I would have put up a better fight but it was a thrill none the less. Now my AMC race in a few weeks and get ready for Cecil Co divisional in August.Gotta work on the reaction times. |
Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
Did I mention that I did have a bit of trouble hitting the tree this weekend?Drooze tried to give me some pointers and here's the result.

Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
Nice dress.... er, skirt... er, mini-skirt!!!! KILT??????? Was that seat hot???
I was hoping you'd win; sorry you had a logistics problem with the tree. I really wanted you to win, but I was hoping that if you DID get beat, it would be against a quicker car that had a worse red light than you did. LOL! Just jokin'; Hang in there; your seat time will pay off, soon!!!! :) |

Ed, Thanks for displaying the proper ,legal ,NHRA approved blinder method!!........Tom

Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
Ed,
Sorry about what happened, but you lost to a GREAT racer and car, not one thing to be down about. The thing to hold your head up about is you took out the #1 Qualifier! A CJ too boot. I may be a Ford guy but a real racer can still beat em, anyday. Good luck on your next races. Steve PS, It should say the Little Gremlin that did. |

Well, Im taking a while off to Finish my house and clear out some JUNK I have lurking around, LOTS of Junk. Ive actually been seriously thinking about your combo suggestion for the 72-4 Challenger....lol.....the smaller one of the 2 even :) That would make 5 combo options I have for it.... I told you Ed, you dont need to see, youre a Jedi man, use the force Ed, use the Force.....lol |
Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
Hey Ed , Colonel Sanders just called , he want's his legs back !
|
Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
Let me beat ya's to the punch.
"I've seen better legs on coffee tables". |
Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
Love the pic ED.
Having a good time, making new friends and staying in touch with old friends and keeping positive win or loose is what makes a class racer..... |
Re: The Little Gremlin That Could
Ed, just pretend you're back running in Street Eliminator and it'll all come back. Nice work.
