Ps..all races deserve a teardown at end of the day.. Each races has to put up the $800 dollars up first. Assembly weighed, intake and exhaust ports cc'ed...and a stock manifold must be present along with the one they run...I think total volume on intake manifold should be a rule too! Oh and the fuel cell or Tao has to come out and be looked at thoroughly as well as the entire fuel line...Any other rule violations?

Me and the slowest L/SA car in the country.(oops that __?___may be me) lol. Love to see a HEADS - UP NATIONALS and have it on tv. At least 10 cars minimum per class.

Throw Bill Davis into the SS/D race.

When I raced Billy's HF/SA Sunbird, I would have PAID someone to show up and run me. Travelled to a lot of races, several with Class Elims, and sadly, no one else was there.

Trust me even if you have the biggest boot it doesn't mean you're going to kick *****.
I've went to the track with a bullet and have something gone wrong, a few times I was happy to have the win light come on.

Been around this game a long time and no matter who we wish to see race there will never, ever be another Stock - SuperStock race that receives more press , photos , blogs and bench racing than the contest between Jimmy DeFrank and John Shaul - it was Pomona and a heads-up in the final between two nationally ranked drivers in a pair very fast muscle cars - nothing will top that ! ! ! I would gladly pay to see them race again but you can only go to heaven once ....................

2 Blown AA Mustangs in the final at INDY ! Or 2 DP Challengers with 6.1's in either AA or A again at INDY. NO red lights and taking a dive. Lets see the AHFS do its job. Dont care who.....just the fast boys.

in my sorenson/fiacci example, I would just say to not run at a high altitude track that sorenson is familiar with or at or below sea level in NJ where fiacci would be more familiar. I think a more neutral track would challenge each to tune their car.
thats not just for my pair, I think it would make a challenge for anyones heads-up race.

Any and every time I get a chance to see Michael Manns and Dave Bogner run heads up, it's a treat. You never know who's going to win. But, you know it's going to be real, real fast.

That would be a treat! I wonder how much those two guys have left.

On the IHRA side, I'd like to see Austin Pusey (sp?) and Jim Reynolds' 57 run in SS/PAA, Two totally different approaches to the same class. Light SB vs. heavy BB. Kind of like looking at P/S back in the weight-break days.

See Teuton has his DP in G/SA for Indy (at least for now); interesting to see how hard Marshall is willing to run his vette...in any case G/SA will be good to watch at Indy.
