Not quite believable...Did he really hold a job before the car dealership? I thought the dealership was his fathers...Idk?

Toby -- I've seen some funny stuff here on Classracer but this morning I almost peed myself looking at that picture -- Photoshop and the Internet are great tools ---- BTW , I now owe you one and as you know later in the year I'm coming for a visit .................

Dennis -- Yes , there is Real Estate in my backround .

Jason -- This car thing was all my idea - can't blame it on my dad .

Tommy -- Hoagie shop my *** -- we built Submarines for the franchise .And boy were those the "good 'ole days " .

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember the Maytag repaireman working to hard either ? And wouldn't you think Jack would be briving a Rambler, I seem to remember that company having a tie in with appliances ?

Tony Janes 07-28-2010 11:02 AM

Re: Jack Matyas Before He Became A Used Car Salesman

That would be Kelvinator not Maytag. Ramblers were sometimes called Kelvinator cars.

Well, Jack, you know what they say: Once they start posting photoshops of you on the internet, you know you've made it.

Also, now all the members of Team Maytag will have something to hang on their walls. :)

Your a good man Jack to keep a 90 year old on the payroll .....

Old timers know the work ethic of years gone by. It's pretty unlikely this man is wasting his time texting and e-mailing and spending hours staring at his had held device.....

If I am lucky I will still be alive at 90 ! and working too......well maybe part time ....LOL

I love the new look. Thank Jim Meaner, I mean Meador for that one.

He will be staying at the MacNeish mansion for a few days next week,

J/Z, Keep da "Chief" away from the "drums"

Re: Jack Matyas Before He Became A Used Car Salesman

No Jim Meaner (Meador) sightings yet on the east coast. I know that he did arrive in Chicago and that's the last I heard from him. Took three planes to get to WV. That's a little crazy. Think it's Sky King Airlines from Chicago into WV.

We're going to make a road trip up to Maytag land while he's here and have lunch with Mr. Chieftian. That should be interesting.......stay tuned.

Jack, you got to tell them 'everyone drives a used car'. As we start our 43rd year in business, I can tell you in this business there are stories that can't be made up. LIke repoing a van from a rapiest while he is in jail, in Mississippi, that story alone takes a 6 pak to tell. Jack has got to have a bunch. They come with cars.

Jeff - You're right on ............ most wouldn't believe the stories .Alot of used car guys get a bad rap -- its us that need protection from some of the customers .Someday i'll write a book - but folks certainly will think its fiction .

OK -- let the hate mail begin -- now we'll hear from everyone who's ever been fleeced ! ! ! ! ! !! !

I've known Jack and have watched him race since well (almost) the begining of time. One thing he has always been is a straight shooter.
Instead of Wheels-up you should GROW UP and use a real name !

If he is referring to this car, a "turd" would not be the word to describe it.

Starsky never looked that good ...............soon the William Morris agency will be calling ! ! ! Hutch however leaves something to be desired .

Toby - with Meador coming East later in the week it sure will give us something to talk about over lunch .................And I owe all of this to MacNeish and you ...........its going to hard for both of you to spend the rest of the season watching your back's ...............One last thing -- you are getting very good at this -- new career maybe ? ?
