Well, we are finally on our way. Should be there by 4 or so. Hopefully in time to get a couple of runs in the test n tune. I talked to Jerry Bennett a little while ago and he said there are lots of people there already. So I will give you an update when we get there and parked.

More later! Oh, it is a beautiful day, sunny and 80's. Supposed to be in the 50's tonight and a wonderful weekend ahead!

Well we got here and got parked by about 4:30, but decided we didn't have time for much test n tune. There are tons of cars here. We saw lots of division 2 and 4 cars as well as division 1 and 3. Some notables seen earlier tonight. John Calvert in his A/S car getting ready for the A/S Challenge at Indy. John Armstrong is here from Canada with his SS/AA Corvette. All the Teutons are here from LA. Jimmy and Sandra Parker from Div. 2. Talked with Jerry Emmons, (his shirt didn't have his name, so I had to ask which one he was). Their compound is very impressive along with the Lucas Oil cars of the Forbes, too.

Many thanks to Quik Fuel for putting on the Bar-b-que dinner tonight. It was very good, along with the beer, too. At one time, I had a beer in one hand and a glass of wine in the other! A great night!

Well, they are going to be parking all night here tonight. There is still plenty of space all the way down at the end of the track where we are. We have a pretty good spot. Go down to where the road forks and we are just off the pavement if you take the right fork.

Well more tomorrow. We had a long night last night and a long day today. We start at 9 tomorrow and we are out 2nd, just after super street.

Well it is 65 degrees here this morning, heading to 88 later in the day. Sunny and pleasant! Rigs were pulling in all night readying for a 9:00 start this morning.

We had 96 cars go down first pass. Robbie Shaw gets the wheelie award for that run and probably the weekend. He rode way, way out. We are in B/SA this weekend and went a 10.50. The air is good, but not great. Lots of out of division cars here. Didn't see any blistering fast runs. Lots are not running all out. More later.

Oh, Gene Monahan said to tell his wife, Kathy that "He loves her and misses her". I think that was really nice!

Folks must be pretty confident their combo can go .9-1.0 under at Indy, which it will probably take....any DRC sightings??

The DA was 1725' that run. #1-Greg Hill 1.03 under, #2-Irvin Johns-1.02 under (@110 mph).

Also I don't know about school being more fun than racing. I wish Bowling Green was closer so I could do both.

I seriously doubt if it takes that to make the cut at Indy, that would be 1.20 to 1.30 under the old indexes ...

I think the more interesting question is how many cars will run past 1.00 under for a potential hit?

We just made our 2nd run and stayed the same. The DA was 2325'. 106 cars made that run and I know a couple are waiting for the clean-up this afternoon. Wade Owens had trouble spinning that round. Amy Faulk had trouble getting down the track. Ronnie West made a good run at 10.12. I am going to try to get some pics in a while that I will post later.

looking at the qualifying times in both SS & stock, it could get interesting at Indy who is playing cat and mouse right now. I do think Mark Nowicki with the new Stewart power is showing its ready for Indy. I see Helm's is driving the Tueton Duster and Wolfford has his Cuda going.

I swear I'm going to watch a little class eliminations this year.

Thanks Ken for the updates and the photos. I need to get John to get me credentals so I can take some wheels up shots for him and you. By the way, looks like ya'll have a great S/SS field of cars. Reckon everyone is getting geared up for INDY. Man, wish I was gonna be there for Wed-Fri.

Sorry I am running so far behind today. Not many people picked up this morning although we ran earlier than yesterday. The DA was around 2000'. The ladder shows a lot of heads up runs for round 1. Gary Emmons has been having trouble getting down the track. I don't think he is the last qualifier by choice. More later.

Just got on here to see how everything was going and saw where DRC was having problems. Well, we are on our way to Indy after the big red light first round.
Since it isn't posted I will try to remember who won. I didn't keep times after we got beat so if I am wrong, just lay it off to an old woman's bad memory. There were no surprises in the heads up runs. Winning were Teuton over Jennifer, Pendarvis over Amy, Poole over Johnson, Phillips over Bureski. Other losers Bogacki, Jerry Bennett (he spun badly), Judy McCormack. Other winners: Brannon, Wenzel, Caleb McFarland (his dad, Brett lost). Sorry, I can't remember any others. It was awfully hot, 95 with a DA of 3000'.

Just talked to Paula Cotten as they pulled into Indy. There is no parking until noon tomorrow. She said there was only 1 spot left on the road out by gate 8, so we are going to get into Indiana, then pull over for the night. We heard that Jegs got pulled over again in Indiana on his way to BG and got big time fines again, but Paula said they didn't see anybody pulled over on their way in.
