Almost "Live from New England Dragway - Epping ,NH - last IHRA race
 

Thought I would try something new this weekend - one live and with the help of several friends an almost live .

Racers are already lined up for tomorrows entry and in better numbers than were expected for the 8am start .Among them is Fred Thiebault and many of his fellow countrymen who are making the trek "down to the states" for this event .

Weather today was a high of 75 degrees and not much barometer - 29.42 .

I've been sent several pictures but Internet problems are not letting them get posted but we'll get to the bottom of things -promise .

Hey Jack that's pretty cool! Thanks for doing that for us. I fly in around noon tomorrow so those that are there come on down to top end and introduce yourselves. Next we gotta get Jack to do an Actual "live from" an IHRA event

Mike -- I really like the fly in part - that fits my style well - some day i'll take you up on your offer ..........and FYI -- I have raced at many IHRA races - but none recently- I was planning on going to MIR but my plans didn't work out .............another time perhaps .

Sure wish I had more to report but my "peeps" disappeared -- where's Marc La Breque ? How about Al Mark - where is Markow ? And my friend Dean Ribierio - where is everyone this morning ...........you know what they say about the best plans .Maybe Dave Casey is up this morning .....somebody jump in .And the IHRA guys ...............

Finally heard from someone -- Temps are in the high fifties but Sunny and warming up slowly .Entries are up over 150 and climbing .Pictures coming ..............Most are hoping to put up some decent numbers this morning .

Just got back from Epping- they finished the test and tune. We were able to get 2 runs in while others got more. Will have a better idea on the number of cars in stock/ss in the morning. Weather looks decent and the track was good too.

Just got to the motel .was a busy day for sure. don't know car count but according to my feet and body it must be good. Dean and Marc are both here cause i teched them,boucher, chinn, martell jr, cantusci, just to name a few. no dp's or mustangs yet.. looks to be a good one. later ,nite ,nite time. gotta be at the track at 7 am.

Bout 3 doors down from DW, them boys were busy today! Looked to be a great car count looking at the pits today. I got all our fire and safety stuff set in place and ready to go today hoping we don't have to actually Use any of it. Weather is wonderful, 68 when I landed and I think it got all the way up to 73? Have no idea about air, but its gotta be pretty good. See you guys and gals in the mornin, at least wave on the way by!

Tidbits - First rounds in both Stock and S/S both this afternoon - 36 Stock entries -- 35 S/Stock entries - big tailwind at this moment .........One heads-up in Stock - boudreau and ?? opps -I forgot ...............sorry . And I took my meds this morning ........

Here's a little SuperStock news -- quarter finals partially finished when rains came but have recently stopped - left to race -- LeBrecque has a bye into the semi's - Southerland is already in the semi's - Cantucci will race Tommy Bouchea for the other spot in the semi's .........Mark Markow -who lost in the quarters built 3 of the five cars ( opps and trucks ) left in ....................After the track dries the Pro's will go first then S/S will resume ............more info when i get it ..................

thanks Jack. the boys made me very proud today. that's 2 years in a row in s/s for my guys. i'll miss this race greatly.
