Please keep us informed as to the condition of the holding field. 10am Wend. they have scheduled to start parking sportsmen racers. It can become awful muddy in that field with a lot of rain.

If you look at intellacast, it is showing sunny for thrusday thru sunday. high 40's at nite, low 70's during the day. Good luck to everyone. Look forward to following it with the "Live" reporters.

Hello sportsmen racers, newbie here. Weather is terrible in Hershey Pa, but looking good for the weekend. Friday is my B-day and spending it in a happy place Maple Grove. Looking forward to spending sometime with stock, super stock and comp good luck friends and be safe. I will be in the stands for the first pair till the last see you friday.

I hear that the gates are not opening till Thursday now and Class is cancelled for stock. Even better I hear its 1 time shot then right into Eliminations.....someone is relaying this info from the track but i do not know if it is for real or not. Theres has to be someone on here thats sitting in line down there. we'll see what happens.....

Last week the rumor was Pro classes at Maple Grove, Sportsman at Atco.. now it's Englishtown.. I paid an entry and 3 crew tickets for a National Event.. not some watered down Sportsman show a couple of hours away.. and it's nice that this is supposedly being discussed on Tuesday, after the withdrawal cut-off.. that's hopefully all BS..

AND ANOTHER THING.. wouldn't you think that by now, these supposed GREAT tracks would have accumulated enough money to pave the whole place??.. Oh, that's right, the Pro pits are paved.. need to remember my place.. LOL

Charlie,I was saying that at Atco this weekend.I paid $270 to run a National.If (and I highly doubt it) I have to run at another track I want a $100 reduced entry fee at my next National event.

Now that all the facts are in I can sympathise with what we'e up against with the weather.At least class was sort of saved.Now let's go racing.

Also herd from one of the people who work here that we are not going to be let in till thursday . They say it is real muddy on the other side and want to wait to dry a little . Not raining now but weather says suspose to rain till thursday AM.

Looks like we (Stock) got the shaft.Doesn't mention class runoffs,only time trial on Thurs and 1st rd Friday.Time for a $100 refund or discount on our next National.Unless they do the so called "modified" class runoffs based on lowest ET on time trial.Either way the little
performance orientated competition we have is taken away from us,and the fans.

Due to persistent showers that started Monday and lasted through today, there will be no Sportsman parking on Wednesday, Oct. 6, for the Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway due to wet grounds.

Parking will begin at 7 a.m. Thursday.

Because of that, Thursday’s portion of Sportsman racing has been canceled.

All classes will get a qualifying run on Friday. The fastest car in each class will determine Stock class winners during qualifying runs on Friday.

The stars of the NHRA Full Throttle Series will race at their scheduled times this weekend.

The All-Star Salute to Darrell Gwynn is at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Crowne Plaza Reading Hotel. A shuttle bus to the event is scheduled to leave Maple Grove at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for a $20 donation that goes to the Darrell Gwynn Foundation.

The forecast from Thursday through Sunday, according to AccuWeather, is sunny skies with temperatures around 70 degrees.

Due to persistent showers that started Monday and lasted through Tuesday, there will be no Sportsman parking on Wednesday, Oct. 6, for the Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway due to wet grounds. Parking for categories from Top Alcohol Dragster through Super Street will begin at 7:00 a.m. Thursday.

As a result, Thursday’s Sportsman racing action has been canceled. Time trials/qualifying will begin Friday with Super Street, Super Gas, Super Comp, Stock, and Super Stock receiving one run prior to eliminations; Comp, Top Alcohol Funny Car, and Top Alcohol Dragster will receive two qualifying sessions. The Professional qualifying schedule remains unchanged.

Don't see Danny's "meeting" with the sportsman racers to sort out the CJ and DP issues on the schedule. Probably busy.

And conveniently, there are no Super Stock racers there for input.

I don't understand why would they move sportsman to E-town or Atco? I heard this rumor from multiple people. Is this possible?
