maple grove

I know tonight now how the racers feel when you go to the track and don't get what you want. I wanted to see a day full of racecars and some good bracket racing instead I got delays and fuel cars. Nhra I was cheated, well guess I have to wait till the dutch. I was nice to see a mopar at the top of stock though. Nice run!

Come on, what is going on with Maplegrove Management! On top of water problems which they thought they had solved they cheated the racer and fan of sportsman racing by cancelling all racing except the circus and clowns. I'm not racing and I'm peeved for all the racer that were cheated by NHRA and Maplegrove Management. Makes you think about racing NHRA or attending any races in the future!!!!! CR

This is one of the reasons why I sat this one out....nobody has a gun to your head forcing you to go to these races when you know the schedule is going to favor the chosen ones...we need more sportsnationals.

So does that mean that all you northeast racers will be at the dutch? Come on now I want over full fields nothing is better than seeing a full staging lanes of sportsman cars. Even though there are little fans the ones that are there are the real true fans.

The Dutch is one of the greatest Sportsman races anywhere; true hardcore fans, like me, are there every year for all 4 days.

Should be at least 1 sports nat race in every division.

Re: maple grove

It is a great race - at a great time of year - BUT.....
Beware though - this is another race where there tends to be an "over-booked' schedule. Not blaming anyone... but very very rarely are they able to stay on schedule. A little bit of rain... cool temps.... late starts.... starts getting dark earlier.... an ocasional oildown....... all adds up to a considerable amount of race/track time is lost.
Folks seem to forget this happens often.
The only time this does not happen is when it has been unusually warm at the dutch.

Angelo, I go every year and I agree with you 100%. In 2007, it was unusually warm, but; there were rain showers that caused schedule problems. When it is cool, which is the norm, dew causes schedule problems. Hopefully we will get lucky this year and it will be somewhat warm with no rain!
