Very fast...full concrete and smooth as silk. Many records set last year....it was on the cool side but a batch of records speak for themselves.

It's a good track Jack, and good people. I doubt we're going, our junk is worn out, we're at 190 passes after this weekend at Beech Bend. I doubt the other car will be ready, there's a lot to do and very little time to do it in. There will be some cars down there, several people at Beech Bend this weekend were going to go.

Very nice facility. All paved parking. I ran about the same there as Montgomery, in similar conditions.

Any contingency postings for this race?

Micheal, last year I won Stock and there were zero dollars for contingency! I hope there will be some this year. Jim

I finally got my transbrake (fixed I hope). If all goes well I'll make it there.

I want to if Tina will go for it (Yeah right) it will be freezing and very fast. The U car ran 97 mph this week but still alot of work left to do to make ready, and we drive it to the track. Hoping to break into triple digits soon.

PBIR is having a S/SS combo race that has a $50. entry to win $1500. Why go to a NHRA race that the entry fee is probably $160 to win $1000. BTW, PBIR is the best track that I've ever raced and I'm lucky that it's my local track.

Because the extra coat in diesel would more than offset the entry fee cost. Unless you live in central Fl it would cost you way more to go to PBIR.

The race at South Georgia also has a test and tune on Friday, as well as a couple of bracket races with a reduced entry fee for the class racers. It offers the opportunity to get a grade point, set a record, and a decent car count may help Division 2 get a real fully sponsored National Open race. If our junk wasn't so tired, and we hadn't just found out our rare ring and pinion in the other car is broke, we might have been able to make it.

Love that track. I plan on going in SS/JA. First race driving in 15 years. 20 year old tow truck, 20 year old trailer, 47 year old race car and a 65 year old driver. What could go wrong?

I'm in for S/ST this year. Great chance for those who have double duty cars to bracket race 2 or even 3 times while also getting in an NHRA race. Last year they paid the purse, Wally, and a grade point, records were set, but no contingency.

Air is usually the best of the year at this time and the track is flat and fast.
