Tomorrow is Veteran's Day
 
As a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy (1967-1971, QM2 on a nuclear submarine); I want to thank all of our service men and women, both past and present, for their hard work, sacrifices, and service to our great country.

I guess Applebee's will be offering lunch to all vets tomorrow.I went last year with my wife's cousin.He was a Seebee who served at the same time I did.1963-65.It was nice talking to the old time combat guys who were there.

I never served but am grateful to all of those those who have defended our freedom-if we'd lost WWII to the ****s, I would have been toast a long time ago for some of the things I've said publicly over the years.

And so to those who have served, thanks for your service keeping us free.

1st. Cavalry. July 66-67. 2/19th Arty HQ but humped with the grunts carrying a PRC-25 radio on my back for most of my tour.

Did you spend any time in An Khe? Thats where the Cav was in 68 when I was with the 173rd Abn. Sounds like the fight to clear the area for the camp was a hot one.

payable to the United States of America for an amount up to, and
including their life. That is beyond honor, and there are way too many
people in this country who no longer remember that fact.

Yes....That was the Cavs. base camp. After about 30 days after arriving I left with the HQ battery and went to Phu Cat (sp?) which was a new LZ that grew into a larger air base and never returned until I rotated back to the world on July 22nd 1967. The base camp was already there when I arrived in July 66.
