Thanksgiving in the Northwest
This what I awoke to. 5 inch's of snow, 20 degrees in the shop and to little time to warm it up before turkey time. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Re: Thanksgiving in the Northwest
Marysville (40 miles N of Seattle) is under a heatwave right now.....35 degrees....it was 18 degrees yesterday at this time......
Take care folks, happy and safe Thanksgiving to all! |
Re: Thanksgiving in the Northwest
Here in the midwest, it rained all nite Wednesday, then rained more yesterday. Of course it hasn't rained here anything like that since about last March. Now it's 15 degrees outside and everything is frozen.
Imagine the shop door is frozen too. Ah well, going to spend the day with the spuse and fight the shopping crowds with her. |

Where I am at we had about 1 1/2 feet of snow and temperatures got as low as -31 degrees C(-21 degrees F).

Re: Thanksgiving in the Northwest
Well it wasn't as warm in the "Valley of the Sun", as it was where Chad & Rick are, but it was sunny with blue skies here...I'll gladly take that over what you northern folks had to deal with!!!
The only frosty cold stuff I want near me, is a mug with BEER IN IT!!! :) |
Re: Thanksgiving in the Northwest
Last I heard there is an Alberta clipper headed straight for Florida. Expected to arrive early next week and drop temperatures and heavy snow around the northern and central regions of your state.
Just kidding. |
Re: Thanksgiving in the Northwest
The last NW winter blast was sharp--60+ mph winds with single digit temps=mayhem anywhere--but what makes it really heavy around here in the Seattle area are the DRIVERS! The mere threat of snow makes contractors and soccer moms alike go careening into nearest available ditches. When something like this comes along the streets and highways look like the end of a high dollar D derby. I heard they had to pull over 300 abandoned vehicles off I-5 in Seattle. I didn't hear about anyone getting hurt. Drive carefully and cheerfully!
