The 2010 race season is over. Hopefully most will not forget Chris or his father David, who both had a dream of running their DP Challenger into the books, which they did and their dream will continue in 2011.

I'd say more like the Cinderella story. The glass slipper fit Keith's foot, (which I heard he still wears) thus his great reaction times. lol

FYI

In the End of Year issue of Nitro Joe's Drag Racing Stats, The Wertman owned Keith Lynch driven challenger ended up:
#8 in the Nitro Joe's Top Guns (Regular Index's)
#1 in the Alt Adjusted Index Top Gun's
#1 in the Div 4 Top Gun's
#1 in the Div 7 Alt Adjusted Top Gun's

Not bad at all for a car in the first 9 or so events that didn't even qualify or see round one at given time

By the way the whole Top Gun (Top 10 runs in Comp, SS & Stock from each div) deal from each division is only available in the End of Year issue.

As this year comes to an end, please let me say, and I'm sure Ed feels the same way, that I appreciate David letting me be a part of distributing the memorial decals and contributing to Chris's kids fund. It was an honor and it helped me deal with his loss. I will never forget the "Drooze" and our always upbeat conversations. Thank you David from the bottom of my heart. Jim

To all here at Class Racer, I just want to say THANKS from the bottom of my heart, for all of your support, and kind words.

Chris was a unique individual, and many only saw a small part of his energy, wit and intelligence. I had the pleasure of seeing it all as it developed and was applied. He was definitely a character who could be called "something else."

It was a real joy to finally get the car doing what Chris knew all along that it was capable of doing. And I have tried to keep the blog at newhemiracing.blogspot.com going too. I recently posted a video of our Stock Eliminator win at Noble, and a couple more pics of the car reaching for the sky, if anyone is interested. And if you are not interested, that is OK, the video and pics are still there..

2011 still stands a bit of a question mark because I have run out of money. But who knows..... Life is uncertain at best, so make the most of the moment, and never look back...
