Prayers for S.E. Buchanan needed
 

S.E. has been in a fight with cancer the last few years and after many treatments is now confined to a hospital bed on pain medication not knowing what the outcome will entail.His brother Verne ask me to post a prayer request on this forum.

I spoke with him on the phone several times just about 2 years ago about drag racing and a sportsman association. He never mentioned this. He seemed so up beat. I just lost a high school friend this week to cancer. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

S.E. is one of finest men in drag racing and life . I spent may miles on the road with him and Jim Hale in the 90's. My prayers go out to him, Martha and their childern.

My wife and I are putting S.E. on our Prayer chain as i type this. S.E. God is there with you all you have to do is call upon his name and he will answer. Praying for you always.

S.E. was a dear friend and my racing "mentor" through the years. I treasured my relationship with him. Our speed shop sponsored him and we were proud of his accomplishments. He also was a supporter of us in the Racers for Christ ministry. He attended services every time he could. He was a true friend and I will miss him. I know that because of his faith in Christ that I will see him again someday! Our prayers, love and concern are for the family during this time. Friends in Christ, Steve and Annette Haynes and the Steve's Speed Shop friends.

This is sad news, indeed. My condolences go out to S.E.'s family and to Verne as well.

You'd have to look long and hard to find a better person and a better racer than he was.
