battery location
noticed in the IHRA rule book, that they were allowing the relocation of the battery to the trunk, is that a IHRA only rule now? or is NHRA also allowing that in Stockers now?

Re: battery location
Speedy, you can ADD an additional battery to the trunk area. You can not move the battery from the original location to the trunk in NHRA. Exempt of course are cars that came from the factory with a trunk mounted battery.

plus BOTH batteries MUST be the same size if I'm not mistaken

Re: battery location
You also have to add a disconnect switch if you have the two battery set up.

Re: battery location
Does the performance advantage of having two batteries offset the weight disadvantage of 30' battery cable, another battery, and a switch?

Re: battery location
If your car is light, adding another battery to the rear might help with wt distribution. If you're not already looking to add weight, the best thing may be to replace the existing battery with a liteweight one.
