Tim Bishop, Open Heart Surgery
Just wanted to let everyone know here that Tim Bishop had to under go open heart surgery on Feb 11, 2011. The doctor performed a triple by-pass. His wife Laura said that he's doing well so far.
Timmy is still in the ICU unit at University Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Cards and visitors are welcome. Wayne Totaro and I will go to see him tomorrow, Sunday. Will update everyone tomorrow night. Sorry to be so late in passing the info along here. Please keep Timmy in your prayers. Jerry MacNeish #1710 D/S |

Re: Tim Bishop, Open Heart Surgery
Jerry and I spent a little over an hour with Tim and Laura this aftrenoon. He is doing fantastic and is in great spirits! His biggest gripe is the fact that University Hospital does not carry Fox news.
Laura has a laptop and Jerry made her aware of Tim's (racing friends) wishing him well! Jerry was on his way to another hospital to visit his wife (Joy's) dad, who is very sick. I am sure that he will give a further update, when he arrives back home. |

Re: Tim Bishop, Open Heart Surgery
I'll call Laura later today and get the latest. I'm working out of town right now doing some Camaro inspections and will be back home tomorrow.
I'm in the Lenny Williams neighborhood, NY! Too much snow up here although the temps have been tollerable. Oh, while here yesterday, a large snow drift fell off the roof of the shop I'm working in and took out the windshield in my Impala........not a good way to start the new year! Jerry #1710, D/S |
Re: Tim Bishop, Open Heart Surgery
Get well Tim !
You have to go back to Indy and win it again ! Tom & Ruth |
Re: Tim Bishop, Open Heart Surgery
Tim, you know the stick shift guys may need an extra week to mend. But then again, they do a little more driving during a run! LOL. I have several friends that have had the procedure and it is tough for the first month, then it gets easier to a full recovery. Your a champion and I'm sure you'll find away to win!

Hope your recovery goes as fast as my Dads did. I'm sure yours will be even faster this close to racing season. We will pray for you and a complete recovery.
