What? No conspiracy theory on the part of Ford Motor Company. Maybe reduce the HP on the CJ? I think a company like Kimberly Clark "Pampers" would be interested in Stock and Super Stock, as a sponsor. That would make the cry babies happy. No? Come on, someone can bitch about something FOMOCO has done. GM guys must have gone to bed early.

I think its good to see Ford looking at IHRA, they must see some value in it. I also think it might have a little bit to do with the blood in the water in Glendora re:IRS. They may be planting the seed early in case that make an exodus from NHRA should the govt get too close. Not complaining or "crying" just an observation.

I'll bet one condition was that the HP factors remain the same. And this is from an AMC guy.

Don't matter what the cj hp is . they are in their own class anyway as they should be in the other sanction. IHRA gives the new cars a place to beat themselves up and i think that is fair. This is just my opinion and not reflectings IHRA disisions at all... Welcome aboard FORD . Now step up to the plate GM and Chrysler and let's see who is BOSS ( no pun intended ) lol See y'all in Baton Rouge Flying out this am...

Some of the older FI cars might take a beating against the new stuff in the FI classes IF anyone ever shows up to race.

Nah , We got AA/FI and BB/FI so far and probably will ajust to the newer smaller FI combo's such as CC/FI DD/FI and on ect.......OK , I know it is already too many classes ,but why would you want to run off the older cars .Some of us still like them ,ain't that right Terry??

This is really good news. Even though I don't think the new Cj's belong in regular stock classes I really have a lot of respect for what Ford has done in a very tricky economy. My every day driver is a Ford Flex and I love it.

Sounds like a good deal to me.

Danny, what about the new under rated cars (not just the Fords) in SS?

Re: Ford partners with IHRA

The funny part is that all NHRA had to do was what IHRA is doing with the new combos.
Then we could all go back to fighting about payouts, entry fees,diapers........................

Mike,
As of the latest issue of ND $500 for a win and $300 R/U in S/SS.
Must be Ford body and powered.
