First DP on pinks all out feb 21 @ 7p
For all the non dp and cj haters on here, our chally # 98 will be on PAO from the houston race in october. We made it in with our super street car too, but jason got knocked out in the 32. I made it down to the final 8, and got beat on the drop. Crazy that we will get more air time going to a pinks race than we did being runner up at indy! Oh well, we had a blast, and hopefully we can get some positive exposure for class racing. I kept trying to explain what the car was and how it was classed, but kept getting blank stares, lol. Just hope they say something about it being a AA stocker. I believe rusty hall went to the final 8 as well in his mustang at the phoenix race, so we should have two stockers back to back shows! Hope y'all enjoy, I know we will.

Btw, the only thing anybody hates about them are the bogus hp ratings. Put them in the right class at the right weight and people wouldn't have anything to complain about. People just don't respect cars with bogus hp ratings and/or soft indexes. |

Yea I know I was just kidding because of all the new car bashing that goes on here. I would rather everything be right and have a closer race, but looks like only time will fix this problem. For now we will just enjoy racing the car like we did with the duster.

Congrats also,glad you're getting some airtime. Just out of curiosity who did you get the blank stares from? Was it the show staff or fellow competitors?

Chlngr73: Tnx,had always suspected the staff didn't know or care about classes,only about "monster"engines,noise and drama. Guess thats the course you must set to have a successful program,and hopefully will get some new people interested in drag racingas spectators or competitors. Will be sure to watch .

You looked good. Kind of a lop sided pairing. Most of the cars on that show are dogs for what they are. You may have had the smallest NA engine there.

Thanks Ed and Greg, yea it seemed like every car there was a big block with nitrous. Sad a little 372 stocker can hang with em'! Those interviews turned out good, shoot a few PR classes and I'll be ready to run with the big dogs, lol. Don't think NHRA would like the part where I said I was gonna kick Jason's *** though! LOL

Hey the Buckners all looked good. I thought I even saw Ray in the background cheering one time. So you have an investor from OK! Who was Pamela I?? I sure wish we were going to see ya'll in Belle Rose, but this will be only the 2nd time that we have missed going since they started racing there. Our engine building is running way behind right now. Between working and not having a lot of enthusiasm we are just not ready yet. But I am sure we will see ya'll somewhere this season. Good luck with the new car (unless you are in the lane next to us!)

What were the time breaks for the top 32? Take it they were somewhere in the high 9's?

They said mid to high 9s. Our super street car got in and went 9.49 and our drag pak went 9.59 so I figured they allowed about 3 tenths.

I couldn't help but notice that your 600 hp 3250 lb stocker could give most of those 900 hp 3000 lb turds a serious "***" whipping! That's right....you get "real dyno" numbers. Tell your dad that I'm sorry that I missed his call today. I'll call him tomorrow. BP. |

Yea, pretty sad. The guy that beat me had a 540 bb and said it made 940 hp! Lol that thing shoulda ran low 8s. just try and call the old man back, he should be around the office all day.
