Qualifying Show
1:45 into the show still have not seen a single prostock car yet. But no less than 4 stories about Force already.

What a joke and the sportsman racers think they get screwed.

Re: Qualifying Show
Whooopie ! What GREAT Pro sock coverage , what was it 6 or 7 minutes with the credits rolling during the Enders interview . DISGRACEFUL ! Its turned into a TopFuel and FuelCoupe show .

Re: Qualifying Show
I`m surprised nobody`s complained about the bowling running over into the drag racing time slot! I fell asleep about 10 minutes into the show.

Re: Qualifying Show
And they wonder why it is so hard for Pro Stock guys to get any big sponcors. They get almost no TV time.ESPN Sucks
|
Re: Qualifying Show
I agree guys! Those two hours were a TOTAL waste of my sleeping time. I forced my-self to stay up to just see how much time Pro Stock was gonna get. I counted maybe 4-5 minutes. Why did NHRA and ESPN feel they needed to show ALL the sessions of the fuel cars complete? I wont be watching anymore qualifying shows! I MIGHT watch the elimins thru out the year, but that will depend on how much time Pro Stock gets today.
The late start didnt bother me, heck, Im used to them starting late due to other "sports" running over! |
Re: Qualifying Show
With the important bowling coverage running over at the start of the show and the dvr programed for the alotted time I didn't even get a mention of the fact there was a prostock car at the event.Did however get the full 2 round coverage of the john force don shumacher show as well as the full season preview of the nitro oil down fest.If the're going to continue to cut the prostock class out of there coverage maybe they can show them on there sportsman coverage and cut back on those alcohol oilers. At least tell the viewer that prostock will not be shown at the begining of the show so that some of us true drag race fans can move on to some of the other more exciting entertainment on the tube like say.....the weather channel or home shopping network

Re: Qualifying Show
Was lucky I was slow changing channels at midnight, had missed beginning ,so thought had missed P/S and they said last T/F run was end of day so thought show was over, then lo and behold Pro Stockers come on afier commercial break. Looks to me as they're aiming broadcasts for the "I want to see crashes, smoke and fire" audience, not people who love racing .

Re: Qualifying Show
Very disappointing......thanks ESPN

Re: Qualifying Show
NHRA and ESPN coverage of pro stock has turned into a joke.Still the John Force Show!

I love John Force But even I have to agree way to much about them on ESPN. |
Re: Qualifying Show
junk. watched the whole show in 20 minutes. no pro stock as my dvr cut off after 2 hours.
This does not look good for real fans. Prudhomme Snake Pit was the High Light. |
Re: Qualifying Show
2 weeks ago our local affiliate station knocked off the last 3 laps of the Bud Shootout for a tooth brush infomercial so things can always get worse. I quit watching NHRA on ESPN years ago.
|
Re: Qualifying Show
This is just another example of how current NHRA management has hijacked our sport and turned it into something that's a joke. If things don't change there's not going to be anything left when they are through screwing up.
|
Re: Qualifying Show
Thats why i set my dvr. To record up to an hour and a half past when the race is supposed to end!!! And u guys should know this from previous years!!! Then i fast forward the whole race till i see pro stock and watch only that........
|
Re: Qualifying Show
I didn't watch any of it, probably won't watch any NHRA coverage on ESPN this year. Seemed like in the past year or two the alloted time for Pro Stock has become less and less.
With the lack of TV time for Pro Stock, maybe the NHRA is going to pull the plug (eventually) on the category? |

Re: Qualifying Show
Question- when recording the show does it still register as being viewed in as far as ratings go? If it does then they are providing false info when they set down and show the numbers to sponsors and companies they sell commercial time to. I mean really do you think the pros use alot of the Lucas merchandise. my .02

Re: Qualifying Show
Perhaps we all should be BLASTING "ESPN" with emails about the horrible coverage. Maybe they will listen. That is if they have an email contact. I have not watched any NHRA drag racing coverage on tv for several years.
