I have been extremely sick for the last month. I will be undergoing Kidney Cancer Surgery at USC Cancer Center in later part of April ......with the possibility of not surviving even the surgery itself as I have Cardiac Issues among other significant medical problems. I do not wish the surgery but my kids insist I try it.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND: I know that a lot of people have my phone number from over the
years and I have very much enjoyed their many conversations......but it is my desire to spend the last couple of Weeks before my surgery quietly just with my family and my Lord. So if you could..... please if you would be so kind -- do not give it out for right now. Thanks

I still try check my E Mail several times a Day and I would PREFER to answer any questions and inquires that way if possible. Thanks for your understanding and prayers!!!!

I am still going to try and get to Vegas for the next two races.
I will be looking forward to seeing and visiting with everyone .

Oh John, I had no idea. My attitude has always been that the people make racing what it is. It's all about the fun, comradere, and helping each other. Without the people there's no racing. I want you to know I'm very thankful for the opportunity you extended. But your family and well being come first and hope every moment you spend with your family is of highest quality. Glad we had a nice visit at Pomona. I got to know you and your outstanding sons a lot better, Jon had a real streak going. You will never misplace Robbie's car in a crowded pit anyplace. I don't know what the future holds, but we know Who holds the future. Also, the week after Pomona, I had to go to the hospital with another kidney stone.You have my moral support and understanding.
