Live from the Bakersfield LODRS
 

I forgot that the data service for Sprint is almost nonexistent here. So, I don't know how often I'll be able to post. I'm not sure if I'll be able to post any video either. I will try, but I'm not sure how fast it will be. Sometimes it takes an hour to get connected, sometimes it connects right away. And if you don't use it, it will disconnect and you have to try to connect again. I will still take video, but I might not be able to post it until I get home. I'll just have to see how it goes.

Today is test 'n' tune day. It starts at 12 and ends at 7:30.

Looks like it's going to be a great weekend for racing with a high of 77 today, 84 tomorrow, 83 on Saturday and 79 on Sunday with a zero percent chance of rain for all four days.

If there's anybody here who has internet access, please feel free to post updates, pictures, video or whatever. More later ... I hope. :)

Quite few new cars showed up today - probably will be over 54

Lambeck hurt something in the lights on a 10.30 run - got it stopped OK

A little clean up

Pretty much the same conditions as yesterday - we picked up .01

In case you are wondering (some have asked) our trigger was set twice ealry in the year and there are far to many runs over .85 under to try to lower the average - so we are just here trying to be consistent - have some fun and to try and win (86 lbs in July)

These were our first runs over a second under - seems like an odd sentence - LOL (but it is drag racing - over and under)

Bakersfield was my home track '96,'97 and '98. Your reports sure bring back some fond memories. Great place to race, but it can sure get hot. Although, Ididn't sweat until I returned to Louisiana in July. Keep up the good work, guys!

The first round of stock is over and this will produce a heads up in the 2nd round between Toby Lang and Ron Bradley. Toby appears to be slower but is well known for pulling rabbits out of a hat. Here are more pictures from yesterdays time trials.

Hey Marc,
Steve Valkanoff is originally from S.F. When we new him it was in the Half Moon Bay days he was billed as Mr.409 he ran a 62 impala and his cousin ran a station wagon. as well. We use to see him at the moon, fremont, vacaville, and cotadi.

Mark, I got to talk with Steve for a minute while we waited to drive
into the pits (I was towing Mike Loge's Cuda). Seemed like a likeable
guy. Interesting combo tubo 4 cyl stick.
