50/50

Out of 76 cars in Indy so far, 23 are new 08 or later, about 14 LS1 types and add a couple of late model efi trucks, and we are about 50/50. Don't know who is the Indian and who is the Calvery? But yall know how numbers are.

Re: 50/50

Don't forget about one FWD Mitsubishi :) Even if they entered A/S instead aof AF/S. Which I am probably running B anyway. That adds some diversity hahaha.

Jeff - the Indians are the ones with the LS1 Pontiacs .......................

Re: 50/50

As a percentage of entries, the CJ/DP cars have a much higher participation than last year at this time...and with Indy just opening for 1 grade point yesterday there are bound to be more of those entering...sort of looks like a cat and mouse game of who will enter. Only 88 stockers entered vs. 146 SS cars as of this morning...very interesting to see how this plays out but ultimately the high number of CJ/DP cars (if the trend continues) will undoubtedly raise the bump and make for entertaining A and AA class runoffs.

Yeah, with them trying to run .84 or less under to keep their average slowed down.

Look at the N.C. race, there are 4 stockers entered, all are new cars. 2 Mopars and the rest Fords.

As of this morning there are 95 entries with 25 being CJ/DP cars (per the entry info, which can be inaccurate of course). That means there are more of those cars than was represented in the entire 180 field last year. So we're at 26% and counting. Jim, maybe Bo does know.

ain't nobody going 1.50 under. Maybe Blossom, but he don't count. I heard Blossom & Dennis Racing were going to specialize in cars that run way under and are not new cars. Blossom will head up the presured class, and bob wil head up the natural division.

At least one of the entries will change into a V10 when the owner gets it there

Don't former world champs get in even when the quota is met ? I think that some champs wait till last minute so that all us regular folks can get in , Have i got this correct ? It doesn't matter if the quota is not met, certainly.

Yes, world champs can get in anytime prior to the Monday cutoff. Stock won't make quota this year but there will still be a healthy bump, more than last year even.

With all due respect to Verne I would expect a few of the G cars to drop down to H...one of the G cars is a drag pak you know and there will be more hitters get in. I'd be shocked if there are not at least 5 H/SA cars on the Qualifying sheet.

I ain't never goin back in G and H, course I bumped myself out of H. Those women in those classes, they will gitcha, no mercy, no prisoners. You might find Couch (DP) hangin on a rope somewhere. Now as far as the Indians and Calvery, here is my take. Used to be the settlers rounded up the wagons, the Indians tried their best to get them out, and the Military Horses usually got there in the nick of time. Nowdays, the Indians own all the casinos and are buying up the wagon trains, and getting the settlers to work for them. The Military Horses are monitoring the System and trying to factor the Indians and Settlers but the factoring system is flawed (that being nice about it), and the Horses are tired, and the settlers are thinking about an uprising cause they don't like the reservation, and the Indians are buying the Military. Gee. Too much coffee again.

Jeff, I am sorry to say my engine will not be finished until after Indy! George and I will not race our Camaro at the 2011 U.S. Nationals. We are hoping to have our engine finished soon, but really do not know when that will happen. Jim Lewis did everything humanly possible to hake it happen. We will live to fight another day.

I'll see ya down there Mr. Jeff and personally hand deliver your "engine goodies". Saves on shipping costs and without the risk of getting lost again. lol
