Header Paint

I am going to clean and re-paint my headers. Any suggestions as far a brand of primer (if you use a primer) and/or a heat paint that is durable?

The Hi temp coating from Eastwood works well if the surface is blasted or thoroughly sanded.
Have a street car with it on for years, and still holding up.

Re: Header Paint

Nitro Plate is ceramic correct? If it is, my header manufacturer stated that he will not repair my headers if they are coated with ceramic.

Re: Header Paint

One thing that seems to help is just spray lightly, thin coat of paint will stay on better.

If they're made correctly the first time and you don't crash them thre coating will make them last a long time.
Airborne did mine 11 years ago and they still look great. The inside coating is holding up real well also.Maybe your header guy wants you to wear them out in a few years so he can make you another $et.:>):>)
