Assuming that they have solved the breakage problems that have plagued them recently at Indy; it wouldn't surprise me at all to see an all Westcott final.

Re: SS/AH at Indy

Here is a copy of last years poem for the Indy SS/AH Challenge. I have a request for a 2011 version but need help. Bucky needs to be changed as well as new stuff for Daniels and Wolkwitz.. You will get credit for anything used on this years

With Bales in bling and Charlie in camo,
29 line up with their Hemis as ammo.

Super Cuda's still around & lookin dandy,
But Mels in the lanes looking for Randy.

Spyfish is lurking, wants power in excess,
He just returned from a trip to Texas.

The blue car from Cali, still is MEAN.
Raybourns' Dart will create a very big scene.

Dr. Dan & Wolkwitz, both in Darts,
Smoke & oil abound, look out for flyin parts.

Raines is coming, with help from Westcott,
Heli-Hemis new motor will mean a lot.

Cake has a choice of Cuda or Dart,
Holt says run the newest & play it smart.

Shine by Tookie, noise from Clark,
Kingfish runs fine with a holeshot start.

Campbell & DePillo working together just fine,
Mopar paint on the Mule makes it shine.

Wolkwitz & Barton, coming to play,
Power put out by Big Daddy Ray,

Lil Joe running safe, wants no valves bent,
Uncle Jeff watching over and bringing Steve Kent.

Mark & Wendell coming from across the border,
Want to put away the field in very short order.

Houser & Booker sliding in from the West,
Viera right behind, want to run with the best.

With his motor zinging and tach in the red,
Jeffs motor is his, Modern Clyinder Head.

Two colors of paint change in the breeze,
Check out the hues of Lewis & Keyes.

Colors on this car are far from vanilla,
Island Hemi brought up by the Chuck Comella.

The Cudas coming down from the Gold Coast,
This is the race Danny Zrust wants the most.

Perkins new car should stay off the bump,
After all his power is from the Grump.

Stan Perry with a new Gary Jennings car,
Will show up to raise the bar.

It may be HARD to keep the pace,
But Woos' old car is in the race.

The purple cars gone, shot like an arrow,
No entry for the MARVELous one, known as Darrel.

LLoyd Wofford has a car that's real bad @#%
If he gets out first, could be hard to pass.

Frank Castros 08-23-2011 08:48 AM

It will probably be CW but my dark horse is Larry Perkins with power from da Grump.

Why have the auto to stick conversions so far been slower than they were before?
And if it was a big advantage, you could change your car over for less money than a new set of heads. If its so easy, than everyone should do it.

I picked up almost 2 tenths in Vegas using same motor as last year and did not make a full pass due driveline failure. As for Mopar action, operator error on my part. Now have spare stuff. Just paying my dues. Why ain't you workin'??

when you were runing with me, you ran within .03 at vegas, and martin. I still have the sheets in my trailer. Now that you have picked up all this power with R&M,and have the stick, you were 3 tenths behind at maple grove, and 2 tenths behind with the automatic. You can spin all you bs, but the truth will come out next week. Have another beer.

Man I thought we were BFF's???? (My kids teaching me to text.) WITHIN is the key word I distaste. I go .74 in Vegas to your .49. I am actually good at math. Check your sheets in the trailer and find me a customer of yours EVER FASTER than you at race you attended. Look, it's America and you have the record and I don't. Just let me and my day care providers try.

charlie westcott 08-23-2011 11:29 PM

Re: SS/AH at Indy

I am not getting roped into this again. Have you (and others that use the argument that I keep my customers behind me) ever considered that I am better at racing than you are? If you remember my dad won indy with Rains #2 engine that I didnt even check the timing on when we put it in before the final 2 years ago.
And your math is correct, I did go 49 to your 75 at vegas last year, that was after your new guys tuned you up 40+hp according to your tales.
The first time you went to vegas, with a brand new car and engine from me, you went .02 or .03 slower than me after I put mine on full kill to outrun you.

Anyways, our stuff is ready to load in the trailer, and has been for a week. We have the best stuff in each car, and whatever we run at indy, it will be all we have for now. The "good engine" is not somewhere else waiting to get finished.

I will be making a trip to Milan friday night because Jesse Kershaw asked me to come over there and match race the fastest SS mustang on the grounds. I am looking forward to that.

Good luck to everyone next week, I hope everyone runs the way they hoped. We just hope to be able to make it to the race in one piece after last year.

Reminds me of the saying

The harder I work - the luckier I get!

Good luck to all AH racers. Hope breakage is not a factor in this years race.

Don't do that! Be honest call it like you see it. Westcott's are the Rick Flair "To be the man, you have to beat the man!" of the HEMI's at Indy right now. But, there are MANY people working hard to change that. I personally would like to hear what you and others think about this class.

Re: SS/AH at Indy

"One has said Sledphish is offensive and dumb,
so Reher has made socks to make him go mum".

Look for the "Dart Dude" in a different car,
may be the biggest mystery on here by far.

As much as Bucky wanted to make make the show,
a run on the dyno resulted in a no go.

We were lookin for Jason to put the King Cuda in flight,
The wildest thing out of West Virginia, since Jesco White!

Racers will miss the chicken fryin Friday night,
The crowds at those feeds were quite a site.

The Pa. Yellow Dart will make it this year.
New paint and power may require a new gear.
With Steve & Jr. pushing big John,
He'll line up in front and say "bring em on".

Cake will have em all chasing their tail,
look in his trailer for boxes of quail.

A new 4 speed for the crew of Hard,
makes them become the new Hemi wild card.

With family and friends working for Perk,
the new shifter will fly with one swift jerk.

Daniels will be trying to make them stand on their head,
to make up for Maple Grove where he went red.

Wolkwitz sits back and doesen't say much,
but his car has power by the bunch.

Jeff has the MCH Dart ready to go,
Just needs to get brother Bob to lead the show.

Orginal Dart brought North by Mr.Comella,
a lot of color mixed in with a little yellow,
son Steve and Chuck C. will make the trip,
new motor and hood should make the Dart rip.

Westcotts are workin to raise the bar up,
look out if Sr's got the styrofoam cup.

The most runs this year by a SS/AH car,
Dan Zrust, the Gold Coast Cuda the leader by far.

Missouri Mule wants to put on some hurt,
Russ called Tony D at Speciality Motorwerk.

Wayne Brooks hemi car is the only one from the West,
Sure will miss Raybourn, Booker, Viera and all the rest.

Charlie's loaded up with just one wish,
to pair up first round with the Spyphish.

I just got a PM, Lil Joe's in PA,
Getting some help from the boys at Rays.

Daniel Rogers is hot, drivin for the Tueton stable,
But it's up to Modern Cylinder Heads to put his power on the table.

Another Louisiana Hebert has got to be fun,
Can't wait to see what Timmy will run.

It's getting better every year Frito. My mapping guys said to lift at the 1102.789 foot mark to get Jr. in the ladder. Just plug that number in the box, the Tstop comes on, spray goes off, isn't technology amazing.

me 42, dad 46 chuck 60. What can I say. chuck ran with every auto car there, you said the stick made you 2 tenths faster, so that puts you at .85 with auto.
How did all that new stuff you bought work out?
I really dont know why I even respond to you, thats why I blocked you from my email. I think I am done. Its kinda like getting in a fight with a (mentally challenged person). I cant win.
Have fun with your new sitters, I hope you can find a shoe for the sled at columbus.
