David, beautiful car...one question. I see the plates, but also the 'race only' wheels? Am I correct? Is this car street legal. I hope so cause' its gorgeous!

Yes this is my street toy car that I drive less than 1,000 miles per year and drive to Woodburn ,OR Dragway which is only 17 miles from my home.The Bogart rear wheels were custom made to be street legal and the front Weld wheels are race only and you have to stay away from parking lot curbs,LOL.Wheels with the correct back spacing for these cars are very hard to find and because of the big *** brakes.

Am I reading the guide correctly that the 5.0 GT is a D car rated at 325?

Sorry,but I have no information on this,but I have went 11.98 ET with my 5.0 auto trans with just a tune and M/T drag radials.

That would be a 2012 Cobra Jet body with a Coyote 5.0 based "crate" engine.

The last time a Mustang GT was legal in Stock was the 2008 model and NHRA rated that 4.6 3V @ 300 hp.

The 2010 CJ with the 4.6 3V is rated @ ONLY 232 hp..........what a joke. It should be more like 322 hp. Maybe someone at NHRA has the numbers inverted ?

I wish I could answer your question because the 2012 Mustang 5.0 is one of the better values on the market.My base model with a auto trans was $27,900.00.

I would guess you could as long as the car had all the same equipment as the race only version.

The very first Drag Pak to race was built from a V-6 Challenger, not a Mopar kit, so it is legal to do so.

Yeah I guess you would obviously have to compare the part #'s on the engine specs with the production GT. I guess that would be a good question for Jesse Kershaw.

The best way someone can build a CJ "clone" would be to buy a 2010 V-6 car and sell the powertrain.

Then, go get a second mortgage on your home and head over to the Ford Racing site becuase they sell everything needed to build a CJ look-a-like. (hood, emblems, rear end, engine, etc.)
Ford sells a 2012 CJ rolling chassis for 50K also.
