CIC Race @ JEGS Cajun SportsNationals

It's official. NHRA has agreed to allow No Problem Raceway to again host the Stock/Super CIC race on Saturday, March 17th. The free race is open to all class winners. Stock vs. Stock & SS vs. SS until laddered at 16 cars or fewer remaining in the race. Combined ladder parings will be qualified on reaction times of prior round, adjusted for contestants that may have had a random bye run.

This is a no-breakout, first-to-the-finish-line race. First round "dial-in" is your class index. Subsequent rounds are adjusted for e-t greater than .70 under dial-in (including opponent red light start, just like Comp Eliminator).

No Problem Raceway will post $1,000.00 cash towards the purse. Any sponsors desiring to contribute cash or product certificates can contact me at patjoffrion@hotmail.com. Let's keep the FUN in drag racing.

This is exactly what I like about this race. You need to win your class or drive a Hemi to get a run on Saturday. Weather/Track Conditions from Friday to Sunday are rarely the same in Louisiana that time of year so it makes it tough, and that's good.
About the only thing that could make the event any better in my opinion is a S/SS Combo and Bracket Race on Thursday. That might be totally out as far as NHRA and NO Problem are concerned, but I'm pretty sure it would draw the cars.

Think there will be a few HP hits, just to win class, to make the CIC race? LOL

Pat I know this isn't much but I will give a free one year subscription to the highest finisher in both SS & Stock, if he or she is already a subscriber I'll just ad on to their existing sub.

You are a class act Joe! Joe also has provided a subscription for our SSSSA Champion for the last 4 years. Thanks again Joe! Jim

Sounds like fun, it will be our first time; however, hopefully, not our last. It would definetly be nice to qualify for the CIC race as well. We need to support more events like this if we wish to keep class racing from being pushed out by index classes. C U in the Bayou!

What Is the program for the combo classes?
I believe if you were the only car in your class you got to run the CIC race wether you won the combo or not?

Re: CIC Race @ JEGS Cajun SportsNationals

Here is how it works. There is a double secret committee know as the Conference of International Cajuns (CIC) and the double secret committee has determined that those people above I70 probably can't get in. Those below I70 and above I40 maybe with a large bribe paid to the triple secret members of the double secret committee, win the class or be the only one in the class, and purchase large quantities of beverages for the triple secret committee get in the show. Those below I40 and above I10 only have to win class, but must supply dancing girls for the triple secret committee get in. Those below I10 get to share the money, drink the beverages, and watch the dancing girls, get in the race, and get an additional tenth. How is that Rock? Are we clear?

As in past years, all single car class entries can race in the CIC race.

Now, can someone interpret what Jeff just posted? Whatever, it all sounds like fun.

Rock, it's double.

Re: CIC Race @ JEGS Cajun SportsNationals

Actually, because of the goodness of the quintuple secret Advisory Subcommitee to the Double Secret 'Committee of International Cajuns', an allowance because of the nature of the influence people above I80 have endured since the war, all one needs is a class victory. You, Rock, self admittedly are from the affected area, and therefore qualify. You may thank the benevolent committee, in general of course as identities are not known.

Rock you may be the biggest threat the Committee of International Cajuns have seen in a while. You are a Yankee and drive a ford. I suggest you not travel alone to Belle Rose. Us Yankee’s must travel in packs when we go southwest of Tennessee.
