Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
Who will race the new ADRL head up series for the new Cobra Jets and Drag Pack's ?
Count me in for at least a couple races 2008 SC Cobra Jet CC/SA @ NHRA Legal Weight 3650LBS |
Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
Of course it depends on the rules - LMAO - I don't really care what they are
However - with business and college obligations - plus a race schedule - I am afraid we would be limited to - AZ, NV, OR, CA (maybe NM, UT, CO, WY, ID) basically within $1200 miles of us Hope we get to participate :-) peace Ron |
Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up

Jack, are your cars stock or super stock ?
|
Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
Super Stock

Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
Dont think they can run in the ADRL deal , its only for nhra stock

Probably a stupid question, but I will ask it anyways: What is the difference between the SUPER STOCK cars and the "Stock" cars????? |
Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
Well that will keep the mustang count down since there are alot more SS CJs running than Stk CJs especially of the 2010-12 cars
I guess we could swap super chargers and rear tires. Sounds like to much trouble. |
Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
The ADRL deal sounded great at first, looks like they have a "few" obstacles to clear. What a bummer, not allowing SS's (the difference is the second "S") and not having the correct zip code.
How long did the original Top Stock last?? Hope this one keeps away from the same problems experienced by the first one. RJ |

Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
My 2012 SCJ with 4.0 SC @ 3485 running SS/BA still ran 9.2 at divisionals in Tulsa this year. So if I had to weigh 3650 lbs Wouldnt this be a pretty level playing field?

Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
Were in for at least 2 races, houston and dallas. Looking at memphis as a possibility too.
As long as they keep the same NHRA rules and the weight breaks right, this should be some good heads up racing. It's about time they came up with heads up racing since top stock. I was still in college at that time and missed out on all the fun! Bring on the wheelies!!! David Buckner 09 Challenger CC/SA 6.1 #98 |
Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
Would someone please make it clear. Is this class for Stockers only? All we own and all we have sold other than the 2008 FR500CJ are all Super Stock.

Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
Is ADRL stuff all 1/8th mile?

Short Version 3250 V8 Unblown, 3450 V10 Unblown, and 3650 Blown all subject to adjustment, but any adjustment will be with a fine carving knife, not a fire axe. NHRA rules, specs, 9 in tire Stick & Auto same. There have been about 400 of these new cars sold, new ones are getting finished as time and money have permitted. And maybe some SuperCar races at different tracks. I am hoping this grows. We learned plenty from Top Stock, what to do and not do, so I am hoping for longevity, but I do know the pitfalls of Top Stock and SS/AH. Sorta like the old cars of the 60's, and maybe with a new crowd that knows more about computers than heads. Any interest jefft@southlanddodge.com 985-804-6161 cell or business 888-876-1817 leave a message with the receptionist, but tell her it is about racing. More as it unfolds. sounds like stockers only to me with the 9 inch tire rule. Give jeff a call or an email, I'm sure he has been answering questions a lot lately. And yes Ed it is 1/8 mile only, I kinda like the idea. Half the distance, only tear up half as much stuff.........theoretically!!!! |
Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
So David, I take it you and your brother were not able to break into the adult film industry after Indy, lol. That's ok, you need to be out here with the rest of the Mopar bunch. Are you coming back to Indy this year?

The Candies should make a few of them.:) Hopefully the rules allow the smaller ci V8 NA cars to be competative.

The super stock 4L car can run 5.70 in the 1/8. Dont think that would be fair . But if it is I have 2012 #15 race ready now to bring to the show

Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
Jack , it would be nice to have a heads up series for the super stock 4L cars . But first we should try to get it worked out for the stock cars. Since your on the west coast you might try the PCSCA for some races . They have a bunch of classes for the mustangs to run in and some sponsored by Ford
Gump is right on the weight and the 4L |

Re: Roll Call , ADRL Heads Up
Organizers and proponents should spend some serious time talking to Dick Butler about his multi-year experiences organizing heads-up racing features for both Stock and Super Stock within various Div.3 events. NHRA support and involvement was not the cause of the demise. The racers themselves were, and likely will be, the reason for failure of any similar future program.
