Just watched my stocker pull out of the driveway this morning about 6 am ,
I sure will miss it... My son and i built that car from the ground up...gonna try something diff for a while.......but i promise you i will be back in stock again......
Still have my IHRA classification guides if anyone needs anything i will try to help. I am also still doing IHRA chassis certs .PM me if i can help.

Kind of the End of an Era, huh? Sorry to see the old girl go! Hopefully she'll have a new life with someone else who'll put as much blood, sweat, tears and love in to her as you and Danny Jr. did all these years!!

Went thru the same feelings a few years ago when I sold my '74 GTO a few years ago after racing it for more than 30 years ..........wish I had it back .

Was looking forward to seeing a four door in Hot Rod...always tough to part with an old car, think I've tried to buy back about 50% of the race cars I've owned at one time or another. Sometimes you just have to shed the old skin....look forward to seeing your next ride.

At least it went far enough away i won't have to see it much...

Lets just say it is in good hands...

The new owner does not want me to say who he is just yet, he kinda wants to just bring it out without notice.......
I am kinda glad it is at least still gonna be a stocker...

I have been looking at a back-half camaro that i kinda like and will probably end up with it.
Plan to maybe run some footbrake to start with and gradually step into hotrod again...

I will not stray far from stock as it is my favorite class. Not if ,but when i return to stock ,it will not be as slow as the ole 283.....Just trying a little dif approach and have some fun.....

I know i will miss my baby as i am already having withdrawals ......but life goes on....

i know how it feels,, sold the rebel machine as a complete roller (minus motor ) pushed it on the car hauler as my wife "said i cant believe you are selling your car " after all the work you put into that "thing" well as most of us who are still married will let there spouse know that it's just a phase and looking to go faster or saving for the next project ,,,once its gone and you are adding all the numbers up for your next project ,you say to your self "man i let that go way to cheap " because the replacment cost at least 1/3 more than what you have spent over the last severl years .02 cents gmonde

My whole family was not very happy with me as this deal went down ,but are ok now..
It did not help with me have been a used car dealer for 25 years.(just in my blood i guess.lol)

I know how you feel I haven't got rid of but 2 cars got one back 16 years later and could get the other one back for what I sold it for but would like to have it but don't need it.

One last thing while we are on this subject.........
I would like to THANK everyone who has helped me in this project.

If not for you guys i would still be trying to make index with my ole baby.......

I also hope when i start a new stocker project that you will still offer suggestions and help.

This is why i love stock racing ,I know there are a few that like to keep their secrets and i respect that......

If i can ever be of any help to anyone on here ,please let me konw.......

I am driving for Jim this season. Only engine I have is around 700 horsepower.:eek: I think its a bit much for the 4 door. I want it together so I can put someone in it at the pro ams around here. Plus alot of combo races out there that i want to go. Just feel its smarter to go ahead and get a 283 vis versus a small bracket engine and then turn around and do a stocker engine. I need to buy a complete engine because i dont have a clue how to build a stock legal one.

gonna run the 283 combo. I guess it puts me in Lsa I dont know much about it. Woods will help me build one but it would be alot easier to buy some thing together. PEM in ashland does all my engines and Matt is a great guy. However I am lookin for something complete and easy.

Just took some stickers off put it on and off jackstands 3 times debating what engine to put in. Now its washed and put in the corner until i get a 283. jr dragster been occuping me
