$10,000.00 Stock and Superstock @ No Problem
 

The Southland Speed and Nitroplate Race will have a purse of $10,000.00 for Stock and $10,000.00 for Superstock (based on 64 cars) each class. $300.00 entry Paid at gate plus gate fee and we'll pay back as far as poss. We will be having Heads-up runs. No records can be set, Have tear down if you like. Scales in working order. All NHRA rules apply IHRA cars can run. We'll put you in NHRA classes for tower. Just to keep simple... I would like to allow Top Dragster and Top Sportsman to also have a race as well as Super Comp, Gas, and Street to run for a set purse but have not heard anything back from anyone. Any questions call me. Put this in your schedule for weekend after Cajuns March 24th sat. 8am More info to come ....

This is very good news for Stock/Super Stock Racers! I feel our furture is in more of these type of races. I hope the turn out is as desired. If I could offer a suggestion, if next year there is a desire to continue this race, please consider later in the spring. Reason is, Up here in the winter belt although there are some that willtake thier stuff out in the salt and slop most of us will not. A race such as this deserves to have you Good Old Southern Boys to git whup on on by us Damm Yankees!

Very cool idea, I do second what Dirk said in that a lot of us northerners dont want
to drag our stuff through the slop and salt its just brutal on equipment. This looks to
be a great race.

As always thank you for your comments, but I figured if some were not going to get into gators and planned to come this way they could change plans and stay here for two weeks like Larry amd Patsy. Also this race is not a combo but seperate classes. Thanks Post more later.....

Just a reminder, To all coming for Cajun Sportsnationals that you can leave your stuff at the track, or your encouraged to stay there and enjoy LA. and attend this race. For all others you can come early and run bracket race with track friday night like last time, Also this race is "not meant to be a combo" But a seperate $10,000.00 for Stock and $10,000.00 for Superstock (with 64 cars in each class.) If we miss that number, We'll either COMBO then or adjust purse accordingly for each class. Thanks

Cody, My Rig is there. The Hills (larry and patsy are there for weekend ) fishing now, The over the hill gang is there and the Hills Gang,
(greg and andrew) coming back as well as 4 from Bayou boys 2 from Hollingsworth and Latino, Scheater as well. David layer's there.byron latino's coming.

Nitro joe and Ralph are going to help in stagging lanes and pairing. We are first out in the run order after jr dragsters. Car count and payout to follow later.

Kevin Helms SS/CM over Slate Cummings A/SA 27 cars entered, paid out $8100, thanks to all that came wonder where the 40 or so that came in the rain last year was at? anyhow if you won rd 1 you was $200 richer.

First of all, Hat's off to who ever runs an Assn. or their own race. I really didn't know as much as I thought!!! There's a lot of stuff that goes on and has to be done. Second, A BIG THANK YOU TO No Problem Raceway for all there help and support, COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU! Third Thanks to Nitro Joe, and Jim Schaechter, for input and help! O.K. we had 27 cars show up,was hoping for more....But,5rds. Winner got $3500.00 R/U got $1000.00, Semi's got $500.00 ea, Qtrs got $300.00 ea, and 1/8's pd., $200.00 ea. Gave away 3 awards. 2) for best losing first rd package and 1) long distance tow award LIL' Joe Teuton, Kenny Doughty, and Rich South respectfully. Again THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT CAME OUT!!! and those who supported our efforts to give the racer a GREAT PAYDAY.

I just want to thanks Scott Helms, Nitro and the entire No Problem staff for a great time Saturday!

I know the car count was not at target, but it paid a heck of a lot more than traditional races. I was a 2nd round loser and got $200 back so that is a pretty good deal!

The track as good as it was for the Sports was better last Saturday too. We had our best 60 ft time with a 1.39!

If you wanted to go, but just couldn't this time, please ask around and look for opportunities to support racing like this.

Thanks to all involved for running their cars and supporting Class Racing!

I am pretty sure these two tired Pit Crew members are glad I went back home. After changing clutches, gear ratios, carbs, etc. They are flat worn out!

Thanks to Mike Mayronne and Crow Dad Dave Crouchet for helping us each weekend and being such great hosts on our trips down south again!
