Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
Glen, good looking schedule, BIG FUEL WALLET!!!

Well it's a heck of a lot cheaper than going to that that many national or divisional races. Fuel bill would probably be double or triple. |
Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
If your crazy enough to go to that many national events, you deserve to pay triple!!

Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
Odd that BIR would schedule a one day (June 9th) S/SS race on the same weekend that Midwest Class Racers hosts a two day S/SS event at TVD (June 9-10).......

Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
The way I got it was that was the only open time at BIR for drags due to road racing and other happenings at BIR.
BIR has something going every week all summer long. It's a full calender for them. So take your pick I guess :)? Back in the day ($0.99 A GALLON GAS) I would have hit BIR on Sat. AND Marion SUN. Glen DeMenge Quote:

No, not yet but I plan on having it done this year, just not sure if I'll have it done by May or not. If I don't get it done this year theres a good chance you'll see me on CNN. |
Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
Back in the day we had several times when we did minnesota drag ways on sat, north star on sat night, then marion on Sunday, then the long drive back to northern minn.

Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
It's great to see more and more stock and super stock races going on other than just the two sanctioning bodies. It gives us more choices and more places to race and that's a good thing.

Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
This year is going to be a great oppertunity for all Classracers in the upper midwest. With BIR-Marion-Fargo-Pierre-Kearny racetracks running our combos. And remember all MidwestClassRacer backed races are $1250 to win plus bonus $ (watch the midwest class racer web site for more details) all that and a low entree fee. Racing locally looks to be a lot of FUN and pays very well. Please support as many of these shows as u can.
See Ya in the staging lanes Dan |
Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
I cant wait til summer, this is gonna be a good one with all the local stuff going on.
Also Winter sucks and it seems to get longer each year!!! lolololol |
Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
Hey Glen - You could add a "southern swing" to your schedule and catch the Wichita S/SS race on August 28th, and the Great Bend LODRS held the following weekend, May 5-6!

Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
As it looks now our cars will not be out. Hope you guys still get a good car count everywhere you go. Great work Glen putting the races together ! Good luck this year! Ron.

Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
WOW! Ron, I'm sorry to hear that.
I hope it's not any health issues keeping you guys from doing what you love. What ever it is, I bet by July you'll be chomping at the bit to go racing! We'll see you then... I hope! Thanks for the support! Glen Quote:

Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!

Re: "LOCAL" S/SS COMBOS Looking good!
Peter I know you're more then welcome to run at any of the Marion combos. You don't need to be a member of either association. I'm sure the same goes for the Brainerd events. I'm not sure however about the ones that are involved with the national opens. Maybe some one else can answer that one for you. Hopefully you're feeling well and you can make it down for at least one.
