Oh...also .8 under is easy.

My dad can beat up your dad.

Go ahead, tell my mom.

My sisters better looking than yours.

My car does 1.0x - 60 ft and runs 12.0x

I figured this should be in a seperate thread to quit screwing up other threads.

1320 racer: Actually this should be in Bracket Racing.

No, that's the kind of talk you hear at cruise-in's. That's why I don't go to them. It's hard to keep your mouth shut when the jerk with the chromed-up engine compartment '65 Mustang 289 is shooting his mouth off like that. I don't want to get punched out, so I just don't go.

Anyhow, like someone said here before; The best car show in the world, is when they call stock & super stock to the staging lanes.

how would you know what's talked about unless you've been to "cruise ins".;)

Meanwhile you don't 60 foot 1.70s with that 8.28 dial in on the window no mind 1.28. Geez, my son ran quicker than at 10 years old in his jr.:p

It ain't just talk if you can back it up;) and I've got chrome valve covers too.:D

Bottom line--if you want to go AT LEAST 8 tenths under and have the coin just buy a 5.4 Cobra jet with the Whipple and never get your hands dirty. ----LOL

I like your Firebird much better than the new Camaro. I got a look at Arnie Martels car and even though it is a beautiful piece of work , the new ones just don't grow on me. That plain white Bird does it for me.

Steve, how would know what I do, you don't know me, never met me nor have ever seen my car run.

That said, where were you last weekend when I was doing a leak down and changing my valve springs and setting my lash, teaching my son and the weekend before when I R&R the front suspension?:p

Being that you're so interested in what I do, I'll be installing a diaper as well pulling the axles and center section this weekend. Come on by and lend a hand.;)

Ah the internet, if you read it, it must be true.

I figured this should be in a seperate thread to quit screwing up other threads.

Ran across this today: 3630 pound, small tire, pump gas 781 headed chevelle, 1.29 60 foot, 6.00 112.1 1/8.

Mark you didn't run across anything, wilson is just your latest project. pretty pathetic, runs 9.50's and only a 1.29 60 foot with a $6,000 trans backing up that engine in a car who's owner is known to lie about it's weight just as you ebay engine builder is known to lie.

As I've already stated, 5 years ago I ran 1.28 and team clueless still considers my car to tbe the benchmark and target to beat!:p

You're living in the past, my Chevelle is long gone and I'm now 60 footing 1 teens!:p

You,ve never been 1.28 60s, Brett couldnt find any 1.28 time slips, but he did tell me the 60 foot clocks are fast at Piedmont. There were atleast 10 people there when the car crossed the scales, remember right off the trailer with 32 degrees timing, look for it to get faster, I never considered you the bench mark for anything other than a good bracket racer. Fact is there are several full weight chevelles on small tires out of my shop that far surpass anything you ever did with your 68, and out 60 foot it also. BTW the trans isnt 6000.00, just like my car has a $30,000 drive train, come on Ed your just beat.

Oh, but your wrong, Infact Brett said and I quote: (Eds getting under you skin aint he) I said well maybe a little bit, Theres not one 350 stocker in the country running all out 10.5s with 1.29 60 foots, remember Ed, stock suspension, small tire, full interior, First pass, stay tuned, there more, as you know we were fighting giant pedaled, wheelstands with no wheelie bars.

I can see your upset, put about 3 tenths on your 522 first time down the track, with a production iron headed, production block, I think that about says it all. Bretts a pretty good guy.:)

Brett, do the right thing, come on here and clear this up. Any way you want to look at it, you,ve been out ran on the cars first full pass, hows that feel, bracket man? And then theres the two other chevelles out of my shop that gave you a beating.

What was that weak 9.89 I saw with the front tires all over the place?// They looked like they were going to come out and hit someone in the head. I like your exhaust, LOL

yes bret do the right thing and tell this clueless fool obsessed with a car that I sold 3 years ago, a car whose performance he clearly is impressed by that you were infact in the other lane on 11/24/07 @ 11:48AM. as the photo I posted days ago shows and you have the time slip showing my 60 foot as 1.288.

Meanwhile Mark since 2009, my car runs in the 8's and 60 foots 1 teens!:p

Lets get this strait Ed, Brett never said you didnt run a 1.28, he said he didnt remember, but he did say he will have the time slip, and when he finds it he would call me, well that was two days ago, I made it very clear to him what my intentions were with your time slip. He also said the 60 foot clocks were fast at Piedmont (Suprise Surprise) he then said and I quote, (Eds getting under your skin isnt he). You have just talked so much trash on the internet over the years its just been shall I say, extra rewarding handing your _ _ _ to you. But your a great bracket racer, LOL. Hoping one day you will come out and race heads up 10 inch tire NA racing with us, (like thats going to happen) BTW my two strait championships as a machinist and engine builder, oh and both ends of the record for two years. You wait till I get ahold of Joe!:D

1320racer 03-01-2012 12:31 AM

Re: 1.28 - 60 ft

bret knows better, the 60 foot clocks were not fast at Piedmont no more than they are fast at Atco where I had run 1.29 60 foot several times, though you and the rest of team clueless would like to think so. The ET's were fast because the air was good and the track well prepared that day 5 years ago.:p

Meanwhile, the 60 foot clocks must be fast everywhere I run now because whether I'm running at a near sea level track or one whose elevation is 1000 feet above and whether I'm running in 1000' of air or 4000'+, whether I'm running in NJ, PA, DEL, MD, VA or NC, my time slips show 1 teen 60 foots and 9.0x passes.:p

Come on Ed, shouldnt a 4 link SS/GT car run in the teens under a no rules 522 inch aftermarket engine? Frank Grossi 8.77 peanut port 454, flattop Q-jet, 1.19 60 foot, thats just what these cars do. Just saying.......:D
