Valdosta Racers Please Read! Weather Warning!
 

There is a severe weather warning (TORNADO) in effect until 2PM today! Also a flood warning from 11AM until 1PM today. Total rainfall of 3 to 6 inches is expected. Heavy rainfall from strong and slow moving thunderstorms will likely cause flooding of low lying ares. Winds of 15mph with gusts of 30mph possible.

Ive been @ SGMP during a hard downpour.......... and if I remimber right , they have great drainage and all that good pit (concrete/asph)

Looking at the radar right now. You have a super cell just to the West of the track. Severe weather will be there in about 15-25 min. Take cover please!! Jim

Jim, I was going to give you a hard time for not coming but looks like you made the right call; good luck with the puppy. Rain starting to pick up now but looks like everybody is under cover. First claps of thunder....gosh us racers are a hardy(?) bunch.

Radar projection appears to show that racers could load up and head south east on hwy 401 about 30-40 miles and be in the clear...

The tornado tracking site radar shows extreme rotation just south west of the track right now.

Yeah about 20 min ago I looked at the radar and it showed that valdosta was clear and no rain...... whats that .... 25 miles or so ?

Cold front passed thru middle Georgia about an hour ago, headed south, you guys should be feeling it now in Adel!

Severe weather heading ENE with the edge just North of Valdosta GA. Cecil and Adel are about 15 miles North of Valdosta. Jim

Still a steady rain falling, but not real hard like earlier. We are done for today and we'll see what happens tomorrow. Lots of water on the ground but no damage thankfully.

Hey you guys, looks as though you have a lull in the storm but there is more coming! From about 11 PM through about 7AM you are going to get more of the same, several inches of rain with possible high winds. The radar looks real bad! Stay safe!! Jim
