National Open speedworld
Here is a link to photos and results to the National Open at Speedworld this weekend. Its a bummer that it was not even a blip on the radar for DRC or any other coverage. The funnist thing about this race was that Stock/Superstock Combo was the LARGEST CLASS there! More stockers than super comp cars!!!!!!!! WOW!

Re: National Open speedworld
Thanks Charlie ! Wow what a day. Yes my combo is a 1981 Malibu wagon 180/230 combo. I love driving this car. It was my first day out with it since the rebuild. I'm thrilled to have won my first race out with the car. I won the Team Speedworld race they had along with the Natl Open qualifying on Saturday. Special Thanks to Tibor Kadar at RWR racing engines, and Gregg Luneack, for their help and guidance. Felt good to be under the index, even if by a little bit ! ( YOU KNOW CHARLIE ! ) - Great group of people to be around, enjoyed everyone there.

Re: National Open speedworld
Ryan, Your car has 1980 grille, i think by looking at picture, if you claiming car as 1981 factory hp 155 / 230. 1980 factory hp 180/230.Tom

Re: National Open speedworld
Tom,
My mistake, it is run as a 1980. For my information though..... If the nhra factored horsepower is 230 for either car, would the class be the same ? Thanks, Ryan 723R :) Team Smiley |
Re: National Open speedworld
Ryan, yes hp 230 is what you go by, some years the shipping weigh mite be different, with the 1980 wagon you can race LMN, change header panel to 1982 &1983 you can race MNO. Tom
