Thanks to the Badder Family and Div 3 crew
The Badder family know's how to treat racers and the Fans who come to the race track . Everything about the race this weekend was first class.
Anytime you have 10,000 people watch a div race somebody knows what they are doing , and the donuts coffee were great in the morning and free. The Div 3 crew did a great Job with the track all weekend . The fact that they used gold dust and VHT really made a difference . Hats off to Redman , Travis , the starter and everyone else who did such a great Job In my opinion NHRA and the rest of the track operators , Division director's should go to a seminar put on by the Badder family and the Div 3 director and personal as they could teach them how to fill the stands , take care of the track and keep the fans & racers happy and wanting to spend their money with them And you cant forget the $1 pound of ice cream |

Yes the Bader Family is second to none. Been coming here since 1991 always one of my favorite tracks...

Re: Thanks to the Badder Family and Div 3 crew
Pat Joffrion could teach that class too

Re: Thanks to the Badder Family and Div 3 crew
It was an all over first class event! Many tracks could take a lesson or two from how this is run. And then we all would win.... :D

Re: Thanks to the Badder Family and Div 3 crew
A race we look forward to. Nice facility, nice people, and they showcase s/ ss on Friday night. Coffee, orange juice, donuts in the morning (I tip the donut sweety). Finish the day off with a pound of ice cream (I can't believe the line sometimes).
You would think the other tracks would take some notes. |
Re: Thanks to the Badder Family and Div 3 crew
I don't often agree with Bo Kenney. But in this case, I'll make an exception, because Bo is right here. Right as rain. :D
Seriously people, this is the kind of appreciation we need to be giving to people who do so much for us and do it this well. Especially when they put that many people in the stands to watch us race. Because fans in the stands is what class racing needs, badly. |
Re: Thanks to the Badder Family and Div 3 crew

Re: Thanks to the Badder Family and Div 3 crew
Please don't forget ...This is not an overnight success story. Bill Bader has been busting his *** at Norwalk since the early 70's. This is a success story built on dedication and a labor of love. We're just lucky to reap the benefit of the Bader Family's ( including their employee's ) hard work. Bill and Billy have got the winning formula. We could all learn from them. - God, Family, Fireworks, Friends, and a hand shake when you leave with a full belly of Ice Cream. JB

Had a great time.
From thurs night tech (Thanks Guys) To fri Showtime..In the stands watching. Redman doing the pairings Bill Sempsrott &Charlie Bob ,Bob & Jesus, Brett & Calib...... Not much for jet cars But what a show. Motz in the dark. Bill doing a running race waiting for the ambulance. And giving away money. The Leo and Bill show. Going 5 Rounds was just icing on the donut. But the culture there, that is all about the who - not the when or how long. And I really don't know how you can clone that to bring it elsewhere without people with similar personalities and integrities in charge of the show. I kinda suspect it's just something you are born with. Or not. |

The amazing thing to me is that although these tracks have been doing this for a long time and don't appear to be keeping anything secret, other track operators seem to ignore the things they do. I suspect that this level of racer/customer service might take more money than the norm, and the other tracks aren't able or willing to take the step. Otherwise, I'd have to believe that the other operators didn't care if they made money and that doesn't make sense either. I've sat in so many towers listening to management gripe about how much they were taking it in the wallet on a points meet. Other tracks had good turnouts (throw Tri State in also) but I never heard any complaints mainly because the management wasn't IN the tower to start with - they were roaming the pits trying to make their event a good one for everyone there. It's so damn simple. Treat everyone as if you appreciate their business. The three tracks I mentioned don't have to act since I believe they genuinely do. Give the customer everything you can to make the race a good one for them and then go above and beyond just because. Why is this such a rare thing? |

Over the years everyone can probably remember who were the best local track operators. They finally retired (or died off) and sold the track to someone who did not have a clue on how to run a dragstrip. The new owner is usually only in it for a quick buck. Lucky for us there are still owners like the Bader's who really know how to put on a drag race. |
Re: Thanks to the Badder Family and Div 3 crew
Happily this is our home track and in our back yard. Great place to test on the weekends, track is typically pretty good even on a friday nite T&T. The Baders game plan seems to work well for them, give someone free admission and maybe they'll spend a few bucks with you....what a concept! It's worked for the last few years and I believe it will continue to work. The stands Sat. nite where pretty much full, and it was nice to be part of the "SHOW". When is the last time you saw anyone in the stands at a divisional race? Of course you need to have the required staff and amenities to service the fans, maybe that's where the rest of the tracks are lacking. Joe OH yeah free coffee and donuts don't hurt either.

Re: Thanks to the Badder Family and Div 3 crew
It was a great race . I would like to have all the money made on just the flashing lights . If you have alot of people at your race track ,they will buy anything for their children . Bill and Billy are the best .

Re: Thanks to the Badder Family and Div 3 crew
yeah, way to go Tom & Debbie. Good driving! What a great racing facility! Bill Bader was even walking through the staging lanes talking to the racers. Bob Michael

Re: Thanks to the Badder Family and Div 3 crew
I was back this past weekend for the first time in 7 years and I had forgotten what an amazing race the Bader family puts on. I was amazed to see all the fans out on Friday and Saturday night. There were almost as many people camping as there were people racing. All the employees had matching shirts which made them easy to identify and everyone I encountered that was an employee was very friendly. Look at the car counts.....even in a bad economy people will go where they are treated well. Other tracks should take note if they want to get high car counts and make money. I simply can not wait til the national. :)
