Hi Gang - Gates opened early this morning and plenty of racers piled in - today is Test n Tune and a good many took advantage .Wish I could give you results but my day was filled with preparations for this weekend .Maybe Ken can help fill you in .

Anyway it was sunny , warm and very humid all afternoon and i'd be surprized if anyone went fast in the t n t .They are calling for showers and boomers later and that will cool things off some .But the outlook for this weekend is great so load up and come on over .

You'll have to excuse me this once - I know this isn't supposed to be about me but I've been working hard on my GTO to make sure my last race with it goes well before its new owner takes it home .To say I'm having separation issues is an understatement - I've been questioning myself about selling it - why in the world would you sell one of the best cars I've ever had ? Lucky for me some of my friends pitched in today to help me with cleaning as I want it to be in "Best Appearing Car " form for the new owner .

Funny thing is I stopped by your pit this afternoon - you weren't there but I noticed you're going for "Best Engineered " with that cable set-up you have tying the two pieces together - anyone with a 9/16 wrench could get that deal apart but it looked good - are you planning on using that in New Jersey next weekend ?

PS- Almost forgot - I'm out of Klondike bars already .

Thanks Nick - those twenty people and more will be able to see our detailing firsthand next weekend as my GTO will be at No Problem Raceway for the Lucas Oil race there - wach for it as it turned out very well .

Good morning - I suspect this mornings start will be delayed by a few hours as its foggy here and misting .Temps are a comfortable 68 degrees but humidity already is 78% and climbing - not a nice morning for sure - hopefully it'll burn off and turn into the nice day that the weather folks are predicting .

Back a little later with some tech line photos .......Rigs are rolling in .

Track officials have told me its dry and could start shortly - but I don't see it happening .Time will tell .......Tech is open and busy .

Some more random shots of Stockers, Super stock is running now. Not sure why DRC has not put up the stock qualifying sheet, we were done over and hour ago. It might be because many were not listed in their correct class.

I will try to get the in car cam for the next round for either stock or ss.

Stock and S/S both got their qualifing shots in this morning - the track and ET's were better than expected considering the weather .Stock has just been called back to the lanes .

Here is an in car of Eddie Brooks, driving the PC Richard 97 D/SA Camaro.
It was much warmer for our second run, don't think anybody picked up from thier first run. Super Stock will be out later. Alcohol, comp and the top class are running now.

DRC needs someone to do a QA check before they post qualifying. I don't think Russ Linke went -2.479. That is something that they need to catch and question.

Live Timing on 1320Go had Russ in SS/JA, which is his usual class (that, or SS/IA). So, he's actually -.82 and change in JA.

Thanks for posting. We've made the correction. He is in SS/JA and in a '73 Corvette. Somehow, he got on the sheets as SS/PA and in a '55 Bel Air.

We are done for the evening, they just finished the clean ups. All in all it was a good day of racing with very little down time. Here are the Super Stockers getting ready for the 2nd qualifying shot.

The in car cam is Frank Maiolo in his 05 Pontiac Super Stocker.
