Stan,
Have you looked at Sandusky? A short drive, and a bunch of hotels... |
As mentioned, plenty of hotels in Sandusky area, that's where Cedar Point Amusement Park is located, but should RSVP as summer will be busy season there.
Also, Mansfield area... |
Thanks for all the replys,,,,,especially Jim's.......LOL Buck is looking for me and I appreciate it...With him living close by maybe He can find me something besides a rent by hour.......Thanks again

We go south to Willard. It's far enough from Cedar Point, so those folks don't go there.

Did you try, Amerihost Inn and Suites Norwalk 415 Milan Avenue, Norwalk, OH?
I stay there every year for the Dick Miller Olds. Race..... |
Once Cedar Point opens motel prices tripple.
|
Norwalk Inn on the south side of downtown was clean and reasonable: 419-668-8255.

Anybody ever try Hotels.com? I had checked around at Choice.com ( have stayed at Comfort Inns before, nice ) and most are taken or are priced pretty high for me. I just checked out Hotels.com and found some other options but have never used this service.

I just went and reserved at Red Roof in Clyde, Ohio. $118 a night. Little farther out ( 25 miles ) but beats the 200+ that the closer hotels are asking per night, ouch!
|
Be careful to observe the speed limit in Clyde - got a ticket there for going 55 before getting to the 55 mph sign leaving town and haven't been back since.
It is an easy run to the track from Clyde, you are on the bypass south of Norwalk and don't have to go through town. - Larry |
...also, look out in Milan area; as Cedar Point opens and visitor traffic starts passing though, the local boys in blue get active...
|
Remember towns like Monroeville, Ashland & Mansfield are not that far away and prices of rooms in Sundusky might scare you enough to drive a half hour -45 minutes away.
This is one of the races you will be glad if you own a motorhome to stay in for sure. "Nitro Joe" Jackson www.nitrojoes.com nitrojoe@neo.rr.com |
