Good morning - And welcome to the parking party as i've been here awhile ( in row twenty something ) and it looks like another hour or two till I get in .Good news is it looks like I'll be pitted on the Airport side .

Other news - the chassis business must be really , really good as New England native Mark Markow showed up in a fresh motorcoach today - and this baby has it all - many slides - full body paint and all the extra items I'd ever want....and one I've not previously come across -- its the "sock option " and I'm thinking he should have skipped it - you'll understand after viewing the picture below .

I'll be back after tech or 5 pm - whichever comes first .And did I mention its raining ?

Hey Jack I know it's been brought up a few times but has there been any final word on that permit to cook and the 42 dollar fee? Do we have to fill out that permit form?

Good morning - What a day this will be - sunshine , blue skies and a DA at this moment of 1800 feet .I suspect that will drop some as the humidity burns off this morning as its over 70 percent .My weather station is showing more than a tenth better than the Grove last Sunday .I didn't get lakefront property but it sure is pretty - maybe a dip later ! !

We'll start out this AM with SuperStreet at 10:15 followed by Stock .

An hour to go and everyone's chomping at the bit .....the Safety Safari is out on the track - scraping , spraying , and making sure we've got a great surface this morning .

Stock is done with their first qualifying, Super Stock is almost done. I see live timing is not work yet, don't know why.

Weather for stock was as followed, We could not ask for a nicer day. Very comfortable, unlike Maple Grove last week.

Stock and S/S both got their Q-1 hit in - most were .10 to .12 quicker than the 'Grove last weekend .........no sheets yet .Internet service here at Raceway Park sucks ......

I thought some members would be interested in seeing the new Summit Pro Stock Camaro.

The in car cam is Mike Iacono in his tipical crowd pleasing wheel standing Camaro. Sorry about the placement of the cam, but I just made it back from my pit working on my car to get Mike. I rushed to put the cam in just before he went into the burnout box. Mike is first rate and had no problem with me jumping in to setup the cam.

In roughly three hours Stock will go out for first round of Elims and shortly after that SuperStock will start class run-offs .Today the temps are supposed to be lower with sunny skies - should be a great day to be racing here at Old Bridge Twsp .Raceway Park .

And the Pro's will be out today - even if you don't care for them you'll have to admit tonights under the stars qualifing will be an awesome show .Friday nights have always been a highlite of coming here ........

Stock just got their first round in and yep , it was fast and the track had teeth as I had a personal best wheelie - most were .03 to .06 faster .S/S class elims coming up soon - I 'll grab some photos for you and if the boss isn't too busy maybe he'll get you a winning video .

SuperStock class was OK but the Automatic Combo race was the best - must be 12 or 14 cars and its wide open - and the winner will surely earn the Wally .

Wind is picking up and the skies are dark - they look as if they'll open any minute ......

Wish I could be there, I've always wanted to visit Englishtown...anyone have any photos of Ken's Mustang and Jack's Firebird, maybe you guys can post some of each others cars...also do you guys have any Class Racer decals on your cars, lets see'em. ;)

Just started raining here at 930, they finished the program tonight. It is suppose to rain hard overnight, if the 10;15 start time gets pushed back tommorrow I suspect they will go right into the pros and skip the sportsman classes till later.

Some notes from today

the weather made a change and there were lots of breakouts etc in stock

SS class was entertaining, some excellant runs, dissappointing ones too

55 or 6 chev ss'r had a fire in staging lanes in the 2nd rd of the ss auto combo, it was scary for a minute or 2, but i heard rumor that he got it back running and fixed for the eliminator.

The track has been good, i watched many pairs and saw very few spin.

Thanks to Joanne,Shirley,Stephanie, Marc, Mark , and Al for, the parking spot, the food and the entertainment, did i say entertainment ??? thanks guys i owe you

Good morning -- The rains came last night just like they called for and dumped a bunch on us ........but they're gone now and our 10:15 start looks like a possibility .The NHRA Safety Safari has been out since before dawn using every piece of equipment but the jets and a few minutes ago they fired them up .These guys (and gals) are serious about drying the place out and will get it done .Mother Nature could help out using the Sun to dry things but that may not happen till later in the day .

We'll start out with SuperStreet - then SuperStock and RD2 of Stock ............

BTW , that gas truck pictured will fill the Safari equipment several times today using more than 1200 gallons each time - ouch .I told the driver that I left my credit card in the coach .

9:00 update - the Sun has now been out for about an hour -- pack your picnic basket --- its going be a great race day .........if you're not here get moving .


Seventy-seven degrees - 53 % humidity - 29.62 barometer - .48 VP - just over 2100 DA - not as fast as yesterday but we'll take it .

Both Stock and S/S along with S/G and S/ST got their rounds in - weather thru everyone a curve - it was a bunch slower than everyone thought .Couple rounds of Pro's than we'll be back out in the late afternoon ..........

Here is a different look for the in car cam. The cam is in Mike Ficacci's Corvette. He is racing Ed Alessi Jr, driving Gary Richard's 69 Camaro. Its heads up in C/SA. They both went red, but Ed's light was a little worse.

I would have loved to seen both green, it would have been a close race. Even with the red light, I thought is was a great in car to post.

Here's a record - 7 pm and we're done for the day . Stock just had round four and S/S RD3 .The last pair of stockers was a heads-up (D/SA) between Joe Lisa and Ken Robinson with Lisa just overpowering Kenny .

The last two photos are of Ken Miele ( aka - the boss ) and Billy Hawk while the two of them were working Ken's car - arguing on whats right and wrong .Its like the 2012 version of "Grumpy Old Men " . They had me in stiches .........

Ken, 2012 rules amendments 5-29-2012, camera may not be intentionally directed at the racer in the lane without NHRA permisson, Just letting you know, it was cool watching the video. Tom
