It looks to be about 13 bucks a gallon, in a five gallon pail.

VP man a etown said its **9 a gallon 94 octane

Re: c-9

Some racers seem to be interested in race fuel that has higher octane than pump gas but not as high as 110 race gas . Renegade introduced a 94 motor octane race gas last year and have been pretty successful with it .

Re: c-9

VP's shows it as an unleaded fuel, 92 m/octane, c11 104 m/o. Anybody tested or dyno'd the two.Seems like a good fuel for the late 80,s 5.0. mustangs. gsa612

Watched Mitch Truman in his e/sa Camaro do a fuel test at the just completed Rt 66 div. 3 race this weekend. He ran c11 first run and ran a 10.95. Then flushed his system and filled his fuel cell with Standard Sunoco( purple).Second run he went another 10.95 in hotter conditions!!I We paid around **8. per gallon for the Sunoco.

He most likely was lean and had to much timing with the 11, and just right with the purple. plus sometimes a car will pick up .03 from the first to the second run of the day. No way Sunoco purple makes the same power as C11. I've seen dyno results. Just my 2 cents.

Todd, I dynoed both fuels back to back and the c11 was 3 hp better, but the air fuel ratio went down with the Sunoco. I didn't have the air bleeds with me to tune the carb for the Sunoco. I think some tuning would have produced an even closer result.

I didn't say it was faster, just comparable. It is **4. a gallon cheaper, plus it will still check ok a year from now.

It's possible Greg, my former car was a low compression ,limited induction, lower rpm combo. I've seen the results when dynoing my stuff. 3 to 5 average hp was the # I witnessed. I don't think it is worth a 10th by any means but it is worth something. Along with everything, your mileage may varry. If somebody doesn't have enough fuel system, you are not going to notice anything between them in the car. I know this first hand...

I went to fuel check with Sunoco purple, it was in the container for over a year and lost it's color. It still checked OK, the NHRA tech told me to put some fresher in just to get the color back into it. The Sunoco here is $7.45 a gallon from the pump.
